We pay $42 for general and 100 channels. Wont' pay anymore. I have lots of the old shows and wouldn't mind to much. I was thinking and researching hooking PC to TV and do Hulu and ABC.com etc, but my TV is in the living room nad PC in the bedroom so THat won't work. I was in the 9th grade before we got tv and dad always said there was more to do with our time than watch the one-eyed monster. Shows used to be really good... TGIFriday's and such, but now a days...it is just junk...crime, killings, murders, who sleeps with whom etc. No good comedys or much of anything else. No, I probably wouldn't miss it, but being alone often, I do appreciate the noise of the talking sometimes!

I always watch Amazon.com and Target for the series DVD box set of the old shows. I often have gotten a season for $10-$15 and enjoy them so much. I recently got some oldies...The Mother's In Law (late 60's sitcom) and The Lucy Show ( Lucille Ball and Vivan Vance after I Love Lucy) and they are hilarious. Good, clean, no s*ex, no violance, no killings...just complete fun and laughter. I introduced my 10 yo GD to them and she thinks they are hilarious and asks to watch them every time she is over her. I am a I Love Lucy fan so I have all those nad she likes those and also the Beverly Hillbilies...she laughs the whole way through. However, on the current kids comedys...she hardly giggles and I watch them and they are so stupid and mindless and annoying!

The cost of cable TV is outrageous that is why I do not subscribe in any. I can always watch my favorite tv shows online without paying an extra cost for it. If you really want to cut back on your monthly bill, watching movies and TV shows online would be a good alternative.

What do I think about it? I don't pay it. So, no, I don't have cable/satellite or other TV, but I don't miss it. I can watch programs that I want to see on TV websites like Hulu.com and I can rent a movie that I want to see, or borrow it. Honestly though, except for the fact that I used to watch Animal Planet a lot, I really don't miss TV.

I pay 28 euros for cable TV + digital tv + dvd recorder. It's not that high here fornutately. But if it's 80 dollars for you then you have all the right to feel scammed.
