Shopping malls or amusement parks or .... ? Which do you prefer to relax ?

More often, I go to the shopping malls to spend time during the weekends. Walk around, do some window shopping, read books at the bookshops, and relax at the food-courts. Once in a while, I go out to the amusement parks, if the weather permits. The parks are no doubt very pleasant and relaxing. But, they are a bit too far from my home. So, my preference for relaxation over the weekends are shopping malls. How about you ? Do you prefer spending time in the shopping malls, or amusement parks, or another option for relaxation ?

I never liked roller coasters so I never went to amusement parks to relax. I prefer malls. I love to window shop. I can't count the times I have just looked the first time and later went back and bought an item. I may not have needed it when I first saw it but later I did and I remembered the store and went back and got it!

Hello Sarah. How are you ? So, doing window shopping certainly is a good way for selecting things one needs to buy. Second thoughts help to make the right choices.

Between the two I suppose it would be shopping malls for me. I do like to go to amusement parks sometimes but I am usually wore out when I leave them..lol...and irritated from the endless lines..lol...I actually like to do alot around the house to relax. I like to oilpaint and read. I love to write and laying out next to a pool is nice too. I am all about relaxing because life is so hectic.

Hello Jen. I didn't know you like oilpainting. That is excellent. You are a very talented lady. You can certainly do beautiful oil paintings of the scenes in the region where you are living. Relaxing at the poolside is certainly a very pleasant way too ! Have a nice day !

Most of the time, I go with my family to shopping malls. We usually go window shopping, buy groceries and sometimes watch a movie in the cinema. But if I do have a long break, then we usually go somewhere far, most often on a beach resort or mountain resort to relax and have fun and have good family bonding time.

Over long weekends, when the weather is favorable, I often go up the Rocky Mountains and enjoy the scenic natural beauties. That is indeed very pleasant and very relaxing.

I like both shopping malls and amusement parks, but there are no amusement parks in the area where I live so most of the time I choose to go shopping or relax in other ways. There is a big shopping mall in the one of the big cities, it is not that far from my home and I often go there. There are many different shops and there are also different coffeeshops and restaurants. When I have done some shopping I like to spend some time in one of the coffeeshops or one of the retaurants.

Living near a big city certainly gives different options to spend weekends and spare time. I can just imagine how nice and enjoyable it would be to spend time in a big shopping mall with many different shops.

If i wanted some relaxation i would prefer to stay home and locked my room listening to my favorite music and read some books. Or watched new movies with my kids at home while eating their favorite foods like spaghetti or salad. But,if we want to have some fun, then, we can go to malls with amusement parks. Happy weekend

Staying home with the family is of course a nice way to spend weekends, after a busy week at work and at the schools. I can just imagine everybody would be so happy to be together !

Hi, I prefer to go to shopping malls for relax. I can have window shopping or either real shopping to get rid of my stress. Then, I will have a cup of ice blended at cafe..that is the most relaxing part for me. However, I try to avoid those shopping malls on weekends.too crowded.

Yeah, shopping malls get too crowded over the weekends, especially when there are sales going on. There can be long queues at the cashier counters. Of course, if one has the time, week days would be more pleasant.

We all have different ways that we like to relax. I always find shopping malls to be relaxing and enjoyable. Amusement parks can be fun, but they are not the most relaxing thing for me. I my teen children would probably disagree with me on that.

You are right. Children would very much enjoy spending time in the park where they can run around and play their favorite games. Amusement parks are for the kids to amuse at !!

I prefer shopping malls. Shopping helps me unwind especially if it is not window shopping. Can do shopping alone or with a group. Amusement parks are good to go every now and then but shopping wins hands down.

Many people prefer spending time in the shopping malls as a way for relaxation. Some malls are really grand, many kinds of shops selling things made in the country and also imported from different countries.

Nature of course does have its unique beauties. When the weather is nice, it can be very pleasant to spend time in the park. Do you go out to the amusement parks often ?

I would choose neither of the two. I can't relax in a place where there so much people around. Shopping malls are mostly crowded. Amusement parks too with lots of children and teenagers screaming on rides. I would rather go to a beach or to a mountain resort where there are only a few people.

Oh I see. Yes, you do have a good point. Shopping malls do get very crowded, especially over the weekends. Mountain resort would be very pleasant. Is there one near where you live ?

I also prefer spending time in the shopping malls. But the best way for me to relax,i may say,is to sing in KTV.When you're in a blue mood, you can release it through screaming. It really helps. And when you have some activities to celebrate, you also can amuse your friends by inviting them to KTV.I like it very much. Some other ways to relax are really nice too, such as playing vedio games ,traveling ,chatting with the girl you like(haha)...

Yeah, you have listed excellent options for spending time and relaxation. Playing online games is a very popular way these days for spending time and relaxation. Chatting with the special girl ! Oh ok, that's a happy option too, right ? (hehe!)

Shopping malls, 'coz I can sit and dine or read and check what's on sale...It's tiring to move around amusement parks, and not to mention all the rides.

That's right. That's why I prefer going to shopping malls too. I often spend time in the bookstores, and browse over the books and magazines. I would buy too when I find books I find interesting.

Strolling around in the mall and doing window shopping is a way for relaxation. I do that often too. If I find items that I like very much, then I would not miss to pick them up.

Here in Kuwait it is easier to go to shopping with friends roaming around the mall or in the fast food like pizza hut, domino's pizza or papa john. This is the way we enjoy the life here in Kuwait as a relaxation time.

That sounds very enjoyable. I have not been to Kuwait yet. I certainly like to have the opportunity to visit some day. Roaming around in the shopping malls would be enjoyable.

Shopping malls! The weather is always so hot so I go to malls often just to enjoy the airconditioned atmosphere and look at some nice things. I do not necessarily have to buy anything. I just walk around and maybe have a bite to eat. Have a nice day!

Shopping Malls. I don't know how you could possibly relax in an amusement park, not to mention I hate the rides. They all scare me. I'd rather go to a mall and buy a bunch of nice stuff.
