are here. A friend sent me the funniest YouTube. It caused me to think about the times that some of these options actually entered my mind. One was when there were questions from the school about something I was supposed to have sent back a week or so previously and I had never heard anything about it. No papers ever reached me. This was when I had guardianship of my granddaughter. Have you ever had this happen to you? Or have any of the other options ever entered your mind? why? Below is the YouTube link.

I had the video on speaker and my boyfriend and I laughed so hard. I am still chuckling remembering some of the phrases.
Although we are all humans and can have a tendency to forget a thing or two and or did not give out notices for something so important, I truly have to say that this video seriously depicts many of the issues today.
Many parents are just so busy and are very quick to blame the school. I have a great example a friend of mine has a 7 year old and I can't begin to tell you how many times she would call me after 9pm at night complaining that her stupid, as she would call her sweet little girl, that she forgot to give me the notice now I have to send treats to school the next day. Now really as adults we forget certain important things in our lives daily, we are human and not machines, how on earth can a 7 year old be expected to remember to inform you. Seriously isn't this the responsibility of the parent to go through the child's bag and check daily. Ugh...
Never once would she accept that perhaps she had to do this or take a bit more responsibility. I have to say that this video totally reminds me of this friend of mine.

Two parents would sure be more help but when does not have them we must put more efforts into being attentive as much as we do at our work.
I certainly understand that it is not an easy job as I have 2 kids and worked full time as well, but my friend particularly is very irresponsible.

LOL...that's great. I actually deal with the paper thing quite often. Every year I always tell the girls that this year they need to work harder at getting notices home to me..lol..There is a very interesting website available here now in which we can monitor our child's progress online. There are updated notices per day on homework assignments and such so you know if the child is getting their work done and the grade that they made. There are also comment sections where the teacher can put in remarks. Really good tool for parents.

celticeage oh myG. thats the funniest thing I have heard so far today
and I am still grinning. thanks I needed that. I injured my arm yesterday, had a bandage on it which c ame off. I left it off and
in my haste to get do wn to breakfast I bumped the darn wound.
'Ouch ouch major pain, bleeding so I trudged over to the nurses'
office, she put antibiotic ointment on it then padded it with'huge bandages and taped it down . now major pain so downed three tylenol
tablets. so I really needed some fun. oh yes I have wished we had
those options when my son was little. He had one math teacher who
had a major fit because he did his math in his head and did not
show how he did it. My husband asked if he had the correct answers and she said yes but how did she know he was not cheating. My husband said
put him by himself away from the others and give him the same problems.'H cannot cheat and you will see he just does them in his head. He aced them all again, we were told he was gifted so we sent himn to a school for gifted children.,

I think you said something about that teacher once before. Nice to have a smart child, huh? My mother taught me to do alot of short math and such in my head too. I think that women doing shopping can really get alot from adding items in their head so they know how much they have spent.

I remember when I used to go to high school...good times. A lot of the time papers and even report cards didn't come in on time, but when you think of it thats not even what high schools about haha. When things like that came late I was happy because I would save myself an hour long lecture of having to try harder or to become more involved in my schools community. I was a slacker and loved it :)

I was brought up in a single parent home and my mom had no idea what was going on in school. I signed my own truancy cards and mom never knew. Nor did the school. I didn't whatever I liked.
