I don't know what is my biggest mistake in life but I do know what I regret the most in life and I am 54 years old so I have had a fairly long life so far.
My biggest regret in life is not getting a formal education. Something that I would have a degree in that would be a professional job and where I would earn a lot of money and where I could live anywhere I wanted and get a good paying job in my profession.
I don't know what that profession would be as I haven't got any great love of one thing so that is why I never went to college. I think if you have the opportunity to go to college you should do it. It sounds like that is what you are doing and as tough as it may be right now it is the most important thing you could be doing right now.
As this discussion is 12 months old are you still away at school or are you back home with your friends?

My biggest mistake in my life was during my college days! I abused myself not to study enough, just having fun with friends, hanging out with night life because I was younger then.

Marriage was my lif's biggest mistake. I married to a villager un-educated girl just becoz my parents wants me to do so, and now my life is a hell and my parents are also not happy with me. This thing always hurts me that i did all this only for their happiness and now they blame me for everything wrong and dont like me as their son.

Not biggest mistake, but a mistake for me. I should have save a bigger portion of my earnings so I have enough money to live a better life. But I enjoyed my life with my family, my friends, my work and those around me.

Hi, nobody's perfect and because we are humans we are prone in making a decision that would lead us to commit a mistake which in our later life would make us remorseful. I committed a biggest mistake during my teen years; I remember when my parents wanted me to go home to continue my studies, I didn't listen to them because I was melancholic. I told myself then, now I've got a job, they'll wanted me to go home. I stick to my decision and get married. Now that I wanted to enhance my career, it's so hard for me to get a job because I'm an undergraduate and although in interviews I passed, some of the HR people demean me just because you're an undergraduate.

i don't even know if i have a biggest mistake. I mean i know that i have made some big ones. but ever single mistake that I have made has honestly taught me a very important life lesson. there are a few things i would do differently now that i know better, but i don't think I have anything that i can say that's my biggest mistake in life

As a Zen practitioner, I don't see any real mistakes in life, because I regard them all as learning experiences. I could have been a farmer at one time because we lived on a farm and I really enjoyed working with horses and other animals. But may father persuaded me that it was a hard life, with little moeny to be earned, so I quit. There are times now when I wish I hadn't done that, but most of the time, I can fully accept that it was a good experience that no longer exists and I have no regrets for having done it for a while and then quit. _Derek

The biggest mistakes in my life were of all the following: giving my money to telemarketers through mails and online, depending on school loans in college, dealing with academic failure in college, letting my dad using his fist and fuss at me during my high school years, giving classmates my money and belongings to make me suffer, letting classmates take advantage of me because of my personality, running up credit cards, not feeling comfortable with co-workers at a job, letting a stranger torture me at my apartment, depending on my parents financially, getting involved in organizations that do not benefit my well-being, getting scammed by an online university, having telemarketers and debt collectors calling my telephone, not having a job for over a year, and feeling a long-term depression. I felt that I had too many of the biggest mistakes in my life that I cannot single out one of them. I must have been the most vulnerable human being in this world because I had everyone taken me for granted as the weakest link.

This is the question in the Miss Universe and I my mind is still filled with the word of Ms. Venus Raj... major-major mistake...
Well.... for me the biggest mistake in my past is not having a definite goal in life to guide me on my path to the future. Not having that goal in the past I let my parents and uncles dictate me to finish a course I have no interest with. Not having interest in what I was studying made it harder to study and so I extended my college life and my thought of being in prison and miserable existence.
After that... I am thankful for being freed from my prison without walls. I am also thankful that without any kind of college degree, then I would not have landed the office job I am right now. I do not like to think of the past anymore, instead I look into the future, to be able to save and do what I really want in life... Someday I might be an artist still, could be painting or digital works.... it is never too late as long as it is in your heart.

I had received higher education. But I choose a mistake specialize, this may be my biggest mistake. Before I went to university, many people said that the specialize I had learned was very good.It will be easy to find a good job after graduated. So I choosen it.When I get into university,I found that I didn't like it at all. What's more, the specialize is hard to hunt for a job.I should careful to choosen my specialize, may be my life will be very different now.

mistakes are inevitable,as human we all commit this and sometimes it causes mental paralysis..as for me,the biggest mistake i've ever done in my entire life is when i let one person use me for his own benefit..i gave up all for him and yet i ended up being dumped..
but as a rational well being,i made use of this mistake as an impetus to be a better person..now,i am happily married with the person who truly loves, respects,,and appreciates me for who i am..i dont need to give up anything coz he gives me everything..and he makes me complete..
while as for your question whether its hard to study without friends or not, sometimes its good to study alone coz you'll be able to concentrate more, but on the other hand it's good to have some people around also so that you can learn more from what they know..and it will always be better to take exams with friends..lol! ;)

My biggest mistake would be using credit cards into 40 thousand dollars worth of debt. I'm slowly getting them paid off, but it isn't easy with them raising the APR or the minimum payment due.

for me, it was becoming a "Nice Guy", y'know... the type who'd give chocolates, badly written poetry and would do something only a married man (no offense to married people) would do. The very downside of it is when you be "Nice" to someone you're interested in, it just doesn't fly. Or sometimes (because of human nature and natural selection) she'd feel like she's dating a doormat. this is the only mistake i've made in my life.

Haha! if i answer this question, would you be able to crown me as Ms. Universe 2010? ok.. i'll be serious. The biggest mistake in my life was when i have loved someone blindly. Well.. everybody commit mistakes. More often than not, we usually forget the mistakes in our past especially when we have moved on and learned from it. From then, that mistake has now been shrouded with crowning glories of both hope and courage. So... how did i go? Do you think i'll win?

This question is just like the question Ms. Universe Philippines had during the pageant. lol Anyway, this is my answer. I made a lot of mistakes and it would take a lot of words to describe it but I am not going to mention all of it here. Well, I guess the most important thing about the mistakes that we had, are the things that we learned from them and how it made us into better individuals.
