Being a Night Owl is killing me.

With stress and work, I had been getting more and more irregular with my sleep, which is messing up my life. Usually I'd have no problems getting up in the morning but recently my mind just keeps getting a whole lot more active at night and I can't help but write stuff, do research and participate here. Which in the most part is good, to be honest.
But it has been a month now that I spend the day time cranky while happy at the night time but no one is up to see me so everyone at home now thinks I'm just simply cranky. I want to go back to my regular schedule it's totally messing up the vibe at my house and at work...
Anyone else have this problem? A person who sleeps regular but has sudden bursts of Night Owl disease? Help!!

It seems like you are on overload and have so much to do. Is there anyway you can let go some of the things you have to do? I hope there is... and then maybe you can have a little leverage to sort out your schedule. Don't forget to take a breather!

Yes I love the mornings too. That's why this sucks so bad for me because I like to be active in the mornings. I like them and I like working with the sun up. Problem is recently my mind decides otherwise and just shuts off the minute I wake up and for the whole day I can't work straight and think straight and I end up worrying the whole day about projects I have yet to finish. Then come night time my mind just automatically seems to come "back online" on me. I'm kind of used to it but it's really taking its toll on me and I wish to go back to my regular sleeping hours and morning routines so I can be not cranky in the mornings again. Thanks for your comment Lore! Appreciate it!

I wish I could find my regularity as well. I'm really hoping that this is just a phase because it really is affecting my afternoons. Normally I wouldn't mind but it has been going on for too long now and it is seemingly becoming less and less like a phase. I hope my body clock realizes this soon before I go completely insane!

I love naps! Totally! Trouble is getting them sometimes. There are times when I have a lot of time to nap so I lie down but nothing happens I don't fall asleep no matter how sleepy I am, or no matter how much sleep I missed the night before. Other times though, I can fall asleep like a log anytime no problem. But only temporarily. I mostly have a hard time sleeping whatever the time is. Thanks for your advice, bird123!

Hmm yes definitely you are right! Maybe vacation might do me some good. If I can actually make it to vacation time and not die of stress and crankiness before that. But yes going far away for a couple of days does help bring back the regularity in moods. Plus all the drinking that happens on vacation always helps LOL. Thanks for this, this was very helpful! +!

you must learn to acclimatize yourself to change .regular is always broken,A person can not change the environment ,only to adapt to it ,you should find balance point ,you must relieve your pressure ,Biological clock has been formed, you want to change it again ,it takes time to change .you need to relax your spirit.
I like doing somethings at night ,this is a custom which used to be cultivated at the university ,I know it hard change ,but you must hard overcome it .

true words my friend you described it perfectly that one needs to "relax the spirit". I loved that! Well, I guess it's true I may just have to ride this one out and it may just be a phase. It still sucks super hard though and it's still killing me that I cannot function in the daytime anymore. Thanks for your wise words my friend!
