Recently I pumped gas from the gas station, and I pay close attention on the price. It seems on the drop on every gas station now. I just wonder is it due to the economy on the double - dip, and we still have many gasoline reserves right now? Or our demand for the gasoline significantly dropped?
Although the gasoline price is different from gas station to gas station, what makes this difference? The lowest one I saw is $2.43 per gallon; another one is about $2.47 per gallon. Some people said one gas station might not have many customers previously when they refill the pump, so they have many reserved gasoline left. So customers might pumping gas from the previous days. While the other one is opposite situation. What do you think of it on the price differences?

Well actually, the price on gasoline was higher on the previous weeks as I noticed it. Until now, it is significantly lower now, because I just paid lower price for it from $2.56 on previous week, and now I only paid $2.43.

I have no idea why it differs. Its been on the rise again. Which I don't like. Maybe it will go back down. I'm hoping for it.

As long as we have the middle east Oil Cartel OPEC up and running, I do not think there would be a major fall in the oil and gas prices. I think until and unless we figure out a mechanism to dismantle this cartel we all have to play by their rules. Every time the price of oil has a possibility of dropping, they reduce the production of oil barrels which again increases the price of oil.
So as far as I am concerned there will be minor fluctuations, but no major price reduction in gas and oil prices.
Cheers!

It runs between $3.03 to $3.29 where I am at. I have noticed it doesn't go up and down as often as it used to and on the July 4 3 day weekend, it has ALWAYS gone up on the holidays ike this but this year it didn't. I was shocked. Usually they raise their prices on Thursday afternoons for the weekend traveling, but recently they have not been doing that either. I think they have finally figure out...WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY to pay the high prices so we stop traveling. Thereby, they don't raise the prices. Granted I know there is alot in between there.. they can't sell it for less than they pay for it, but still, I think they have finally learned that they can't stick it to us as easy as they used to. It gets to high, we stop buying, not only cause we retaliate for the high price, but simply cause we can't afford it whether we want to or not. Why put the price at $3.50 so they make a huge profit, if no one is buying it at that price? Better to keep it low and many will buy...thereby increasing their profits. Smart plan, wish places like Target, clothing stores and the like and resturants would get that same intelligent mentality.... when we the last time you saw a gas station close down due to no revenues!
