"When I grow up... I wanna be..." What did you wanna be when you were young?

At some point in life everyone was aspired to be what they wanna be when they're older. Like myself for instance, when I was a young I wanted to be many things first a doctor, teacher, fire fighter, soccer player --- since I didn't know rock star was an occupation and found out about it.. I kinda stuck to it for a longer while until I was not going anywhere then I switched to mortician and a bunch of crazy strange great paying occupations since I was changeable minded back then. xD So right now I'm focusing on being a fitness instructor as a fall back on my real dream job in life that I'm working towards and that's to - can't tell you what it is yet. But I'm working on it slowly day by day. What about you? When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I love music so I decided how coolo to be playing records for a living. SoI wanted to be a DJ. I took it all the way to adult life and went to college and took alot of radio/tv/film classes. But I'm in the Detroit market, one of the biggest, or at least that's what I was told. So I never went anywhere with it. But one of those classes I took was a survey techniqes class. It was something something and survey techniqes. One of the things I had to do was call a hundred people to see if they knew what newscasters was on what stations. Calling all those people led me to try telemarketing which is actually more related to sales. I finally found a Customer Contact position. After eight years I lost that job because a new mangager coming in didn't like me. After three years of being unemployed, I'm back to telemsrketing.

Aww.. sorry to hear that. Ever thought of taking up bar tending? You get to meet interesting people and getting tips. Classes are pretty cheap where I'm from, especially if you're from Detroit, big city lots of bars, clubs... Just sayin.

I wanted to be an anchorman or a TV news anchor. I just love seeing those news people on TV. It would have been exciting to bring news to the people and be the first to know about it. TV is an exciting world. I also want to be in the field gathering news as well. I would be interviewing people and getting to many places. But then my family don't have much money to send me to good school so I kind of choose something different yet actually my second choice of work. But now can't work either and that is so sad for me.

When i was young there were so many different things that i wanted to be when i grew up. My first choice was a nurse. I thought it would be so great to work in a hospital and help people that were sick or injured. I also wanted to be a teacher. I had the fantasies of being a movie star, a singer and a writer as well. The jobs that i have had in my life didn't even come close to these childhood dreams. You just never know what will change you grow up. Who knows? some of these dreams could still come true.

Hello LifeGuru, I remembered having dreamt of being a flight stewardess, an architect and a lawyer. Growing old I ended up becoming an accountant because I was inspired by my two aunts who were themselves CPAs too. Unfortunately that too was the triggering factor of my lifetime ailment of hypertension because the job entailed high pressure tasks, too much stress on the heart and tension in the nerves as I used to be senior operations auditor for a multinational company but now I am retired. I wish I should have stuck it out with my desire to become an architect instead, maybe I'm still working by this time. Good day!

I used to wanna be many things such as teacher, doctor, lawyer when I grow up. But day by day, I find that I really don't suit with these jobs. And now I am studying about finance - banking. So, my current dream is being a financial researcher when I graduate.

I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I used to find teachers so cool and important, someone whom the entire class (and also the parents) respected so much. I would pile up all my books and imagine myself teaching a class. Somewhere in my early youth, I lost site of the dream mainly coz it required a lot of studying which I was loathe to do…however, now in a more matured age, I truly wish I had pursued that childhood dream of mine.

Since I was still in high school, I wanted to become an accountant. Actually I've been trying to achieve. But I failed to achieve my goals because I do not have the funds to continue studying in the field of accounting. I am very sad. But I am now trying not to get too sad because of this.

I wanted to be a scientist, and then a vet. Until now I still want to be a vet, though I admit, I am far from reaching that goal, and I am not doing anything about it.. I guess I have given up though I still wish that if I have enough money, and time to study again, I would definitely take vet medicine..

Ah yes, we all get asked this question back when we were too young to understand how on earth we would accomplish the dream. I love math and science back when I was young. I also loved reading about Egypt and thought of maybe becoming an archeologist. And like I said, I love science, especially space and all the geologic transformations earth goes through (earthquake, volcanoes, etc), so I wanted to either be an astronaut or a geologist. I ended up being... a math teacher. :)) Turns out, I loved math more than those things. I wanted to teach children Math so that it could help them with further studies. So I guess, in a way, I am slowly living a dream. I love my job right now and it's great!

I can't really say about my ambitions when I was a kid. When we were all kids, I think we all had a lot of ambitions, we, in all our innocence of a child though that everything was possible. I am no exclusion to this fact. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a detective, doctor, engineer, a lot of things which changed constantly. As I grew older, I wanted to be a doctor and studied towards it. In all honesty, I just wanted to challenge myself since being a doctor is the hardest one in the university requirement list. haha But now I'm enrolled in an engineering course, the thought of being a doctor have not escaped me though.

When I was young I wanted to be a Musician! I had so many dreams of it. I thought to be a musician for sure so I had also took some Guitar classes. But as times passed my dad forced me towards his business. So i would daily go to the office and spend my time there. And after that I had a vision of my own I want to be an It professional. I want to help my dad business with the education I have. I want to take both side.

When I was young, I wanted to be so many things. I wanted to be a teacher to teach to other kids, a doctor so I can help people and even save them, a police officer, an astronaut so I can go to space, a lawyer, and even a professional basketball player. Of course it was just a phase for me. Now I just want a job that just have to do with computers like fixing them and even building computers from scratch.
