How did you find out about myLot & why isn't it a household name?

I just found out about myLot from searching the internet about how to make easy money. Someone wrote a blog post that included a screenshot of them being paid $30 a month for alledgedly "doing nothing except using the internet". I'd outgrown the forum I used to use as it was based around Habbo, a kids internet game. If myLot is as good as the blog post said it was, how come it isn't a household name? I'd have thought everyone and their dog would be on top of this, I mean if chatroulette can explode with popularity just by having people get their wangs out then surely getting paid for intellectual discussion is a much bigger draw, no? This is my first attempt at a discussion, idk if it'll even get seen by anyone! Its all so new :'(
