Have you ever had a kitten whose coat color changed a little?

Well I posted a discussion about 2 months ago about this tiny, and she was also very sick, stray kitten that I took in. I didn't know at the time I was going to keep her, but I just fell in love . Her name is Belle, she was all black, but at about oh 9 weeks old, I started to notice tons of white hairs throughout her body, so now she is like black and silver.
Has anyone else had a kitten "transform" like my precious Belle did?

I do! I do!
My cat Precious... She is a Tortie. I have pics of when she was a couple of weeks old- well from birth to a couple of weeks.. and she was very dark with small splashes of orange color. She looked just like her mom who is also very dark Tortie or Torbie-- tabby/tortie.
Well, her change was more drastic because at 2 weeks or so she started loosing her hair.. at first when it started happening I thought I was imagining it- she started looking lighter in color.. so I went through my camera and looked at all the pics I took since birth.. Nope -not imagining it.. She was a different color...
Then almost all her hair was gone she looked like yoda. I brought her to the vet.. they looked at everything- she didn't have any medical reason they could find for the hair loss- but he said she WAS NOT BALD as I thought. She had peach fuzz all over her body.
Her hair has since grown thicker and now she is WAY more Orange than she looked as a baby- but I think it is because the hair I see on her is all undercoat- I think all her outer guard hairs are what she shed and they never came back. The only way that I can tell is that her tail looks pretty sparse compared to all the other medium length coat cats I have who have bushy tails.
Here's a pic of what she looked like as her hair started to regrow -she used to be dark tortie - and then this..- then more and more orangie..
I have tons more pics on facebook- that show what she looks like now... :-)

WOW THAT IS AMAZING, she is very very special to have changed that much. I am totally astounded by this. You have a truely special kitty I think. Have you ever submitted this story to newspapers, or online papers or something? Because that is just soooo crazy unique to me at least.

Of course. It happens a lot. Among my latest batch of new arrivals was a gorgeous, long haired, totally black kitten. I named him Junior, because I thought he would look exactly like his father. Well, Junior was adopted. Just a few days later, I heard that he was slowly starting to turn grey. I was disappointed. But the new owner didn't mind. It happens mostly with black kittens.

We had a pure white kitten in the batch my mom's cat had after we rescued her. By the time we found a home for her (about eight weeks) she was very clearly a Calico - white with black and orange spots just like her mom and tannish grey ears like her brothers/father (we suspect their daddy was Siamese because the two boys in the litter were).
