Yes, its true. It is all about sacrifice and true friendship. It is not easy to handle a responsibility when life is threatened. But there are some people ready to waste his own life because of a common goal ... to save the lives of others.

That's what i think is passion. You tend to sacrifice for a friend. I think if friendship is true, people could do that, and it is very very rare, once you have it, don't waste it cause its worth fighting and dying for.

LOTR has been my favorite as well, for me, there's no other movie that is a spectacle as it entertains and captures me. And yes, one of my favorite line in the movie is the conversation of Sam Wise Gamgee and Frodo Baggins (a friendship that truly is such of a great inspiration for us).. the line is this:
Sam: Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It'll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields... and eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?
Frodo: No, Sam. I can't recall the taste of food... nor the sound of water... nor the touch of grass. I'm... naked in the dark, with nothing, no veil... between me... and the wheel of fire! I can see him... with my waking eyes!
Sam: Then let us be rid of it... once and for all! Come on, Mr. Frodo. I can't carry it for you... but I can carry you!
And who else can forget Gollum's line : "My Precious!".

Wow you really love Lord of the Rings. That is from the movie Return of the King. I also love that part, when sam and frudo is struggling in Mount doom. I really love Sam's character in the scene, He is exhausted but still he is willing to sacrifice for his friend
Frudo and Sam Rocks!!!

but that is not for them to decide. all we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. - gandalf. Frodo couldnt have gotten far without the whole fellowship but gandalf guided frodo his whole way whithout being there much of the time. words of gandalf's like these pulled frodo through and saved middle earth. it also shows gandalfs fullness. he is wise and knowledgeable but he is also a teahcer and father figure to frodo partly because of frodo loosing his parents. this quote also explains gandalfs actions later when he fights the balrog. he decided what he had to do wit the time he had. forunatly he had more time to go.
