i know a lot of us here, myLotters, are gamers of all sorts. I've been hooked into some games myself, but i prefer the combat types not the RPG since it's an easier way for me to relieve stress, like thinking that you're killing/pulverizing the person you hate through that character :) but i read somewhere that prolonged gaming isn't good for our health both mentally and physically. Physically, in a sense that it could be damaging to the eyes. Mentally, because they said it can alter the gamers behavior like making them easily irritated. So have you actually felt changes in your life because of gaming? How did it affect your life?

Well , I believe whatever you heard is not correct . I am a die- hard gamer and I have read many articles about gaming myself . I believe gaming relieves you from tensions and takes you to an another world of happiness . Well , if you don't have a LCD or LED , then continuous gaming may affect you eyes . But nothing more than that . Now a days gaming has also become as mode of interaction between people . Thats i Multiplayer gaming . So , you get o know about people all-over the world , which is a good thing ! .. Gaming rocks !

games has pros and cons. However, we have to set up a distance which not too addicted on it. I agree that games can affected someones either mentally or physically. I have friends who too addicted in playing DOTA game and they like played in a group. The worst thing happened against my friend is his relationship among with their friends become worst because lose in the DOTA game while fight with others. So, games can cause someones conflict and irrational in thinking.

when people play in groups the whole internet cafe becomes like a market. one group loses the other wins.

Hi dear, I used to have some kind of added attraction towards gaming about 10-12 years back. But now, I don't like any of them. Compared to those days, there are innovative games and real like experienced one are available. But, don't know, the interest for gaming has lost and I don't even like to observe the games while someone else is playing also. As you said, the reason may be that I cannot enjoy the same. I also had a habit that once I start with any game; it was difficult to stop immediately. The addition made me boring and irritated gradually. However, for a short period and just for a fun it is good and advisable. Anything more will be dangerous. Regards, Thank-s

yup! it's there for the fun of it, but some people tend to get so serious that when they lose they ended up being a sore loser or blaming the pc for their lose. ^_^

I love games, most especially online games because you can interact with other players all over the world. I was hooked into a lot of MMORPGs but the ones that really changed my life were two 2d MMORPGs. It changed my life in a negative sense. I don't go out anymore because I'd rather spend time with my 'online game buddies' rather than out with my 'real life friends'. I was so hooked to the point that all I ever do was eatshowerplayeatplayeatshowerplaysleep. That was my routine for a long period of time and I was really a total messed. I was so hooked into the online fantasy world were everything was so great. All you have to do is join your guildmates and buddies and play together. I'm glad I was able to stop my addiction before it was too late.

that's a good thing that you've gotten over it. some have a hard time controlling or stopping their addiction and some don't realize they are already deeply addicted to it.

It affected me alot. I now dream games, think games way more than before. It is irritating to the eyes but it is addicting the more you play the more knowledge you get on the game.

Well i used to love games a lot. Any new game i get would be completed in a week and i would play that game over and over again so that i could gain something new. Gaming has given me a whole new way of experiencing life. I have become so engrossed in games that now i am planning to make a new game myself. I especially liked Yoville of Facebook. It's a virtual world of people and i would like to design such games like thatr. Gaming has helped me increase my concentration and my touch with the computers. I now play LAN games with my friends especially counter strike. Though i am still a novice in that i am trying to be a good one.Gaming has helped me increase my confidence and my skills also. Cheers!
