I heard people commented about the experience with actual e - book readers such as Kindle and Nook much better than iPad as a replacement. Actually, Kindle has clearer screen and better reading experience than iPad. What do you think of it? Also, the price for e - readers might significantly drop by the end of this year, probably competitor will be adding more of similar products to the market.

Well, I currently don't have any e-Book reader but interested to get one. I'm not too sure if Kindle is better than iPad, I use to test read on MPH E-reader, which I assume more or less same like Kindle, it's not really that nice, mainly due to it's only black and white and no touch screen. iPad can offer much function more than just a e-book reader, imagine watching movie on that big screen, it'll be a very nice experience, so among Kindle and iPad, if my budget allow, I will definately go for iPad.

I don't like the idea of ebook readers. I feel like we already spend too much time on a computer as is, and watching t.v. If we spend too much time trying to read from an eboojk reader we'll have more headaches and maybe vision problems. I much prefer reading from a book I can hold.

Hi kingParker,
True that the prices would be falling by the end of this year, but my experience with e-readers and ipad (when it comes to reading e-books) is not satisfying one. I mean if the book is a large one, there are many breaks into the reading and the smaller screens just make things messed up and cluttered. This might be a gadget handy for ones who are on the move but I am not and I cannot ignore this fact. Again the materials available is expensive unless you settle with some piracy / pirated stuff.
So they are not my cup of tea.
