Can you really learn from the internet?

i learn a lot from internet, but for me, face to face education is better. i think online learning is like modular learning, you need to study and understand things on your own, while in face to face education, you can face the instructor, ask them for questions, and there is interaction, which makes it more interesting,,, one more thing, if you study online, there are lots of temptations like online games, you learning from online is quite hard especially if one has no control over self,, ^^

I can say yes! It's loaded with useful information however there's also a lot of nonsense stuffs so we should be careful, better to confirm first any information we can get before trying or believing it. In my case, most of the time I'm using the net for research and it's great that there's a lot of publications and articles available here. ^.^! hmmm.. I think if you have discipline and willing to dedicate a quality time to learn, it is better than face to face education. (there are pros and cons always)

Yes, of course, there is so much info online you might learn more than in a classroom.

I believe we can learn from the internet. Technology has come such a long way in the computer age. There are so many websites available to us on almost any subject that want to research. You can find so many ways to further your learning by these numerous websites. We can never stop learning. The internet is a valuable tool for education.

You definitely can learn from the Internet. I've learned HTML and also basic web designing from the Internet when I was still in College. I was able to use it with my project during that time. However, I forgot some of the things I've learned since I have not practice it anymore after I graduated in College and got a job.

I learn a lot on the internet, I find it very helpful and it's a good thing, because I can learn a lot and I'm learning about finances.

I think the internet it a great research guide and with the right fundamentals you can learn a great deal online. Depending on what I want to learn I will look for sites with either written or video help. I have solved various problems with help from online sites. I intend on learning a language this year using an online site the advantage of which is that even with a crazy schedule I can do it on my own time and get help from someone when I need it. I have tried various bricolage and cooking experiments that have mostly come out well. I think a personal education is best when someone is young, as they get older, people can enhance their knowledge through self education and that is what computers are ideal for, having thousands of libraries and various specialised sites available at any time of day or night.

The internet is quite useful and I have learned a lot from it. Long time ago I didn't know more about computer, but due to the internet, I am quite good at it now. And I can continuously learn more new things via the net. Whenever I need to find some solution, sometimes I will try to find it via the net. I love China

Internet has become the "Information Highway" these days, carrying enormous volumes of information on many many different subjects and topics. As you said, one can learn many things on the internet. Besides, business people and reseachers use the internet for all the information they need for their work too. One cannot manage those things without the internet these days.

when i was doing our thesis, almost all the research part we had was through online surfing. it's easier and convenient. we don't have to visit all the libraries in our city just to find resources. we don't have to browse page by page..

About face to face education i think it's not effective.We have to spend more times,energy to come to some place,limited place. Can't be face to face education if too far.So i think learn from internet is the best way.

internet is a main sources that we get any information that we needed. After invention of internet the concept of distance education on line has come to play very important role. Certainly we can get educated on line. Personally i fell that face to face education is the best for the main reason that is human touch and interaction between individuals.Without personal human touch nothing grows like the the upbringing of a child.Can a robot substitute mother.Similarly in every walk of life there should be face to face contact. so also the education

For example: webmd.com that gives you so much info on health, medicines and more. So: yes.. you definitely can learn from the internet.

I think there are a lot of things that can be learned on the internet. If you take a look at the vast amount of information that is available, you would be a fool to think that you couldn't learn. You have to be careful that all of the information that you read is genuine though, as some people might post information which they think is correct, but it turns out is false. As long as you keep your wits about you, you should be okay with everything though.

There is so much information on the internet. Over the last couple of years my family has had health issues. We have looked up these health issues to make things a lot clear. But we don't use it for just health issues, we have used the internet for learning for entertainment purposes as well.

I think so,almost all of us learn a lot from the net,I like computer and I learn something about the computer from the net,you said you learn photoshop from the net,I like photoshop too,I even do not have a book,all the skills are get from the net.
