Truly an absolute miracle if in fact as the article ask would we believe this is true. I believe in the power of the almighty and I do believe anything is quite possible.
As article says the body can survive quite sometime living of it fat content. I am quite thin myself so there would not be much fat there for me to live off, however I have great will power and I have been able to fast for 6 days straight. However by the 7th day I have to eat something. This is not to say I have done this often so I would have to say in a moment of desperation I too could last some time but I do not know if my will power could last doing this for years and still be healthy.
So unless a person is quite a special chosen person by God it could be possible friend.

But i suppose he has to believe in His Son and the almighty Father himself for being able to do that, but nowhere did I see that he was a follower of Christ. You are right anything is possible if we have faith, and deep enough. But one needs to accept Christ for such unbelievable things to happen. That is what I believe.

Well if I have to give my opinion I dont think it is possible.
I dont think a human body can survive this long without food or water.
70 years is a pretty long time and for this much long, the body cant just rely on the fats from the body. And where would the fat come from if that man is not consuming anything. So No offenses to anyone but I dont believe it.

Many people refused in believing this
but believe me...This topic has become a International controversy
and This particular man is under surveillance of some kind of SCIENCE Institute(I forgot the name)..and Scientist are monitoring his routine activities and and they are also shocked "how could it happen"
Believe me! this story is real!

Hmm.. well I'm not sure about the authenticity of that article. But logically it isn't possible for humans to survive without food and water. I do know few people who don't consume water, but do replace it with other beverages, but absolutely not having anything, isn't making sense to me.

I've read it a couple of months ago. Although it seems possible, the only proof he has brought is just his testimony and that's not enough for evidence.
Even if it was true, I don't find the idea of meditating 24 hours a day just so I can live without water and food very attractive. But it sounds like a great feat when it comes to survival I guess.

I actually have already heard about this in the past, but I honestly don't think that it is possible to live our lives without having any kind of input into our systems. Our bodies need food and water in order to survive and I don't think that any person that is truly human would be able to go for any more than three or four days without becoming ill because of not drinking water. It has been proven that a person can only go three days without drinking and be able to stay healthy.

Sorry, but that simply isn't possible. Every case like this, where the person claims that he doesn't eat or doesn't drink has turned out to be a hoax. The human body cannot survive without liquid. But people will believe anything, and it seems no matter how many times this kind of story is disproven, it will keep popping up again and people will fall for it.

yeah it's right, even great scholars who mastered the art of meditation need food to survive, see Gautam Bhuddha, food is an integral part of life too, animals kill animal and plant to maintain food chain. if they dont and start meditating they will be pff chart and soon die without any know how for lust, fear, and anger.

This story is at least a few months old…I remember the kind of hype that was created in all the TV and newspapers when this story broke in India. You should not be surprised really… this is no miracle or magic but the persistent practice of yoga over a prolonged period of time. Yoga has ‘miracles’ which we cant even imagine…the sages of ancient times used to meditate continuously for more than 100 years…while this seems like mythical stories to us, Prahlad Jani has proved that it can be done with dedication, correct practice and discipline.

Hi dear,
Surprising!! I think in this world, there are such so many things happening around and never been notified. Here the person is living for the last 70 years and not yet come to public. Like this, many odd things are happening and happened also. I request all that such kind of things to be notified and bring to scientist and get the facts to be studied and researched. Our science and scientists can make a large e from such odd miracles.
This is not all people can do or available anywhere. About few months back I have notice a similar incident in India itself, in Kerala state. The person also does not eat any food. He will come and expose to the sunlight for several hours and he is advocating that his energy is absorbed from the sunlight. However, I don't have any proof to give you now. But the fact has been telecasted through some of the TV channels and newspapers also.
People must have such indifferent experiences to tell.
Thanks for your effort.
Regards,
Thank-s

WOW!
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!
A man survived 70 years without food and water?
THAT IS TRULY INCREDIBLE AND IMPOSSIBLE!
I am proud yo know that he is an Indian. I didn't know even that a person could live for that long. I would die even if i didn't get a proper meal a day. And Prahlad Jani survived for so long. WoW!
Meditation really has that much power?
I should find more. Lovely Article!
Cheers!

This is next to impossible as water is essential for all the bodily activities & its another name is 'life.' One thing that may have a remote chance of happening is that the man used to take food items whose water content was high enough to compensate the intake of water by drinking.
