I prefer MSN because everyone has an email address...
MSN can link with Yahoo Messenger as well, so with MSN you can talk to MSN users and Yahoo users.
Skype is good if you're using it for business, otherwise it's not all that useful.
I've never heard of ICQ so I have no opinion on it.

Thanks for your answer, that is true, every one has an email address and it is easier to get contact with them, I don't know so much people who has skype anyway, I just asked it because my friend told me it is better, it is like to use a phone.
thanks so much

Yeah, skype offers a "call" function, but so does MSN...
Just with MSN, you can do a Voice Chat, Web Cams or A complete package of Webcams and Voice, so you can actually see who you're talking to.
Skype only offers a voice chat. That's why it's better for business, it's takes less CPU Speed to run then MSN.

I use only SKYPE!! Is the best to me..maybe it is similar to the others, but I can really choose people I want to talk to and block users I don't want anymore on my list without risking that they notice my action!
I tried and used ICQ just one time in my life, but it didn't satisfy me..
Msn..popular..I like to be different :D

I like to use MSN. Most of my friends and families also use it. Besides it, sometimes I will use Skype when I need to make a call, especially international call. I don't like to use ICQ today because there are many strangers will bother you. It is annoying.
I love China

Skype is the best of all!!!
I use both Skype and MSN (never used ICQ). MSN is by far the most known and is the one all my contacts use, thats the only reason that I'm still using it too, just because everyone else does.
I started used Skype in my job, and then also personally. I like to see a really good program and compared with MSN it's much better, both graphically and in voice chats and many features that of course MSN don't has. MSN is too buggy and ugly for me. But of course, not everyone knows about Skype, so most my contacts use MSN.

I've also never heard of ICQ. Skype is good if you do video calling but I can't stand the IM that's built into it, its really basic and the shortcuts for emoticons don't make much sense. MSN is moving towards trying to be a social networking hub thing so yeah it might be wise to jump ship. Mine seems to be posting my personal message to my facebook status and vice versa its all pretty confusing!
