Only when you are contended you can be happy. If your threshold for this elusive contentment is the measure of your ultimate happiness. Do you believe you can be contended or will this act as a dampener on you enthusiasm and energy to try and achieve more?

Happiness is in our heart. We feel it because it gives us satisfaction. Even if we are not in abundance because we don't have enough wealth, still we appreciate what is in us at the present. What is important to us is the thing that make us happy. Material things will passed but true happiness will knock at our door only once. We have to make the most out of it.

Your first statement isn't really true. You can be happy even when you're not contented. :p

Hi,
Yes, you have to be contented with your action and shouldn't worry about the consequences. That is to say, you have to put your sincerest efforts in every single job you do, no matter how insignificant it may seem. The result is often not in your hand, so let's not desire anything. The key to happiness is to enjoy your action without having any expectations from it's results. Doing job for the sake of doing it, I mean. Thanks.
God bless you

Yes, I agree, that is indeed the key to happiness. I hope I will get there one day, but I am not there yet!
