What do you do with old cloths? Some I wear until they are rags, but most I out grow, these I pass around the family until I know that they will not be used, then I give to the charities. Some of these are very nice and I always am gald to know they will get good homes.

I do the same thing that you do. Except the charity part. Because when it is passed around to my cousins. They passed it around too, after. So all the clothes are used until they are rags. Everything is used to it's maximized use.

Hello savypat,
We are 7 siblings in the family and guess what we are all girls. With that you can jump into conclusion that its not hard for me to decide what to do on my old clothes since I have my younger sister that would like to have it. My cousins are also mostly girls, so really not hard. I only give my clothes to others when it is still in good condition. Other clothes that is no more in good condition, I usually use it as rags.
In our community there is a tribe that goes in the neighborhood yearly for Christmas Aguinaldo, so we used to gather those close that we think we don't want to use anymore and give it to them.

I'm like you I wear them til they are stained or holes til they get tossed. I only donate if they are in good shape. I do sometimes pass stuff along but the only person I had shared or traded with was my Mom but she's not here anymore so.... I don't have options for anyone my size really.

Old clothes are usually put in the closet until such time we either give it to other family members or friends, or we put it in a bag to take to goodwill. I think the thing we procrastinate over the most around here is clothing.

There are very few pieces that I will not wear until they are only good for rags and those I donate to the Salvation Army op shops so they can be sold and the money will go to an excellent cause. I tend to wear out my clothes; I am a careful shopper usually and whatever clothing I buy I tend to like and wear over and over.

With my own personal clothes, I will normally wear them until there is no life at all left in them (I once had this little nightshirt that my grandma had given to me and I wore that thing literally until there were more holes in it than there was material left). With the children's clothing, I will try to sell what doesn't fit them anymore in a yard sale and whatever doesn't sell then goes to charity. In fact I have about six totes of stuff that is waiting to go to charity.
