Yes, i have played the game of summoning a ghost.
It was not a standard Quija board but it was interesting, i have to say. We used a coin, on which four persons would keep their fingers and the coin would be moving *as they say...
So everything went fine, the answers were right, that was okay because we asked questions with answers that were already known to at least one of the persons following the coin with his finger so we had every reason to believe that person could actually be pushing the coin towards the right answer. Okay well hmm..
But we wanted to actually test.. So my old room partner asked us to ask the so called ghost to reveal his birthday to others because none of us knew his birthday. And the coin moved over the characters and numbers and the answer was right! Only my old room partner knew his birthday and we were sure none of us knew! His face was actually pale! LOL! We were, honestly freaked out ha ha! and that was the last question and the session was called off! LOL.
So that was a nice experience! Have you ever played this game??

The church tells us not to mess with it because you might actually be calling an evil entity who is trying to trick you and these things aren't meant to be played with.
Also, if you really summon ghosts- let the ghosts rest at their place.

Hello ravend,
Yes, i have many elders complaining about playing such silly things. They say it is not a good thing to do, they say that and also say ghosts don't exist at the same time. Well, anyways.. I will have to agree with them. Why mess yourself up with silly things, even if something happens it stays in our heads for quite sometime. So better not fidget with silly games and boards. It might sound exciting but it is better to avoid playing such games.

I played a few times when I was about 12 years old. My older brother was moving the dial and played a trick on me. He scared me so bad I would not leave the house for a few days. Never went back to it after that.

Hello Travelarranger,
At such an age we have a lot to imagine. It must have been scary for you. I had played the game when i was quite mature enough, at the age of 18 and yeah it was interesting and all, but that last question really freaked us out and we spend the night in one friend's room. Around eight of us were there in a friend's room, LOL. We spent the night talking silly, giving silly explanations as to why it could have happened. But, anyways, it is not a good thing to play such games and i will not recommend anyone playing it, why to do things that could mess you up, mentally.

Hi, voldrox. I have never played this game before. So, was it that scary? So the coins moved by itself without you knowing a certain person's birthday? I have never played with this game before. I would be very scared to mess around with this game. I don't want to invoke anything that is unwanted.

Hello cream,
Well, it depends on how you take it and what you think about ghosts. I personally don't believe in ghosts and so i was patiently watching friends play it. Most of the questions were answered right because someone or the other among the four with the coin knew the answer. Yes, the coin moves over alphabets and numbers to give the answers. We are only meant to touch the coin and the coin moves and we need to keep following it with our fingers. But we could not know if anyone was cheating because if they did, others would not know because they would only be following the coin. However the last question was really interesting because the question was about a friend who's birthday none of us knew and the guy was just watching us play, he wasn't involved with the coin. And when answer came out correct, you should have had a look on his face! Honestly, it was a funny scene. But at the same time we were scared. We all spent the night in one room, together. Eight of us in one room, LOL.

I did this a few times when I was at school and I can tell you that things DID happen and my friends and I were freaked out big time! We did not believe it at first so we did it again the next day and similar things happened. We all swore that we saw a ball of flame very briefly come out of a metal cup that we were using. We never did it again after that!

Hello Rawbill,
Whoa! A flame out of the cup! That has got to freak anybody out! Hope you were able to end the game peacefully because sometimes they will to stay.
Seriously, this game does no good to anybody and also causes some impact on our brains whether we believe in ghosts or not. That feeling of something there will come to anybody just playing that game. Take care. :)

When I was younger we all played that game in my friends attic but I have to admit some of the people there weren't really trustworthy so you really couldn't tell if they were moving the thing that points to the letters. I just assume that they were because they would do something like that to make the game seem like it worked.

Hello Kate,
I still believe someone or the other tries to lead the coin, when they know the answer. If not intentionally, they might be doing it subconsciously. You better ask something that none of the others know, if that happens to be answered it correctly then consider that one of the best coincidences!

Usually, people open the door to another world while playing with Quija board, needles and similar things. But the problem is that the information given from there is never for free. And those who give that information are really evil things no matter who they are or what they are.Tried playing with needle in the past and I have to say that at first it was funny, I thought it was me and my hand doing the tricks. My friend lost her earring somewhere in the room.I asked the "spirit":"Where is my friend's earring?"Got answer:"Chair".It really was lying under her chair. That wasn't enough for us,so we asked:"If you saw the earring, it means you're in the room with us?Can we see you?Tell us where you are".The answer was:"We are Everywhere".My friend started screaming and we were so freaked out that we're surrounded by evil spirits. We switched all the lights on and we still had that bad feeling.I don't know what that was.Maybe it was just our imagination.I've heard about poltergeist activity after Quija board sessions, but I never had a wish to try it.I believe that if it doesn't attract the evil spirits, then it affects the mind in a bad way.

Hello silvercoin,
Wish i could reply sooner, apologies. Wow, that sounds nice. After you asked where the earring was and after that it said it was everywhere. Would have freaked anyone out. Well, when i was playing i didn't feel like there was some spirit with us in the room, probably because i didn't want to believe in it. But the last question really put me into thinking. I was honestly freaked out and we all called the session off immediately.
Yes, even if nothing really happens, it sure plays mind games with you and so i, or for that matter no one would recommend playing that game. If nothing, it just plays with your mind.

No, I haven't tried a Quija board before. Sometimes I wonder if ghosts really do have the time to communicate with us. I have seen it done on T.V. many times. But I am one of those people that would be skeptical of this and whether it would actually work or not. It does sound like a really neat experiment though.

Hello nijolechu,
That is good of you.
This in fact is a real silly game if one doesn't believe in ghosts and i don't want to believe in them either. To be honest, i didn't feel any sort of presence of spirits of things like that while i was watching my friends play the game. I was just seeing what is going on. But, i have to tell you the last question which none of us were expecting anyone could answer was answered right and that actually put us to thinking. We had to call the session off immediately.

no,i haven't played that game cause i know it is a game to call spirits, maybe a bad or good spirits, but i don't think i could try playing that one.cause it may lead to trouble for some reasons.
well, back when i was in elementary or grade school days,i have claamates who used to play that game inside the classroom.and there are rumors that our school before is a cemetery and that's why there's lots of spirits going around there.and yes,i think there are ghosts who came i your session of Quija board.there are also games like spirit of the glass which members are pointing their fingers on the glass then calling on spirits to come inside the glass which is more scary.there are times those spirits don't let those members to be in peace.i doon't really know if this is true, but there's nothing wrong in believing, for the sake of our own peace of mind, right?
well,i hope nothing wrong has happened to you after you played that game.

Hello annavi23 :)
No, dear friend, nothing went wrong after we played the game. There was this big story all among my friends after this happened and the next time others wanted to try that out too. We had warned them not to play such things because it affects our minds ignoring the fact that we might or might not believe in ghosts. This game does no good to anybody and must be avoided. Honestly, it's not worth your time because this is silly. My other friends who played the game themselves freaked out too. This time the spirit was not willing to leave the place soon.
Anyways, i don't know what to say about the game, but one thing is for sure. Not to try it on your own.

haha, yeah, why would you try it on your own when it ca call spirits?
and by playing that game, you are just disturbing spirits which are not to be disturbed.it's okay if it's a good spirit but what if it's bad one which can do such things to you?
and it's not recommendable to everyone.as you said, the spirit you have called may not leave the place where you used to call them.

Hello babyshei and elmiko,
I have used the Quija board so i don't really know how that works but we had made a board ourselves and there were no magnets inside it. The coin was supposed to move over characters and numbers, well the game was interesting i have to say. But, not really worth it when you get some wrong answers as well, ghosts are supposed to know everything, right?

Yes, I played a Ouija board before and I wished that I hadn't. I kept asking for the same thing and it gave me a no or a maybe, and I just gave up with it. I didn't like it. I didn't feel any spirits around me, and the spirits I was calling were nowhere to be found. It was pointless.

Hi rogue,
Well if you play the game believing nothing like that ever exists then certainly you are not going to get the kick. Same thing happened with me, i was just watching my friend play the game. You had to see some of their faces, ooh they were serious. But honestly, the last tricky question put us to thinking. I wasn't expecting that, LOL. But anyways, i like to think about it and have a laugh at the silly things i ever tried in my life. Well, i didn't even play it, i was just watching it. Certainly not proud to tell others such stories, but only to the ones who like to listen to ghosts stories, LOL.

hi voldrox yes a long time back and we had about the s ame experience that actually frightened me. I am a C hristian and even as a teen I
could feel the presence of something not good, scary and frightening
whatever was doing this it was not a good entity at all. so we never touched the board again. I talked to the minister of our Methodist
church and he was against the board.

Hello Hatley,
Everybody says it's not a good thing to play such silly games. They are right, why to play such games which could mess you up mentally? It is a fact that, as youngsters and with our wild imagination we like to try such games. My elders, everybody, would complain if i told them i once played this game, so i don't tell them. I am a Christian too and it would be a shame for me to play such games, whether ghosts exist or not is a different thing but why believe in such silly things when we have our Loving Father. I was once in a weird situation myself, i was sleeping and i felt someone was gently holding my hand. I could not move my body at all, neither was i able to open my eyes. I was all numb except my hand. I took the Lord's name and i came out of that numbness and i was relieved of it. Whenever something happens that we don't understand, we can always look forward for help from God. After all He knows everything. So i prayed, and it was soon over. The nice thing was that i was not scared when i prayed because i knew whatever was happening God would take care of me.

Hello dodo19,
To be honest with you, i will tell you it seems interesting but when awkward things start happening coincidentally it makes us feel like the reason for it is supernatural. First of all there are no ghosts at all. Playing such games could be fun i agree, but you should be careful you know. I still think of the time when i played this game, and it is nothing now but a thing to laugh about, also a small silly adventure i like to tell my friends.

I remember trying something like this many years back. I was with a friend and his mother and well we just cut up some letters and stuck them in a circle and we then used a glass upside down and placed it in the middle of the circle. I don't remember experiencing anything though and eventually we just gave up and threw the letters away!
I know that they have these sophisticated boards now and they look very fancy, quite intimidating too I think! I'm not sure that this is a safe thing to be messing around with though. I have sometimes thought about actually purchasing an ouija board purely out of curiosity! I don't know whether I'm in the process of losing my mind though, perhaps this is the case! I know it's probably just fiction but we have seen films like 'The Exorcist' and how the girl in that film starts communicating with a spirit who she calls Captain Howdy or something like that! Well, she's eventually possessed and the film is quite graphic in places. Even if it is fiction it definitely gets you thinking about the big what if questions!
I think that it would be quite spooky to experiment with an ouija board on your own, sitting in the dark as it were with nothing but a candle for light. I think that I will leave the ouija board well alone! Andrew

Hello Andrew,
Nice to see after sometime, hope you will keep dropping in here at mylot. Yes, this is something we should be messing up with, makes us think a lot of wild things and perhaps make God angry for trying such things and believing in them. It is best left for itself, you need not try it, just a waste of money and perhaps it would take your attention away unnecessarily. It's just something which fascinates us as young people but now we have to leave it. It was a little scary when i watched my friends play this game, but that was the twist at the end. We are not going to try to do anything like that, we swore.

Hi voldrox.. I didn't knew that it was also called by this name.. I have heard people calling it a spirit board.. I have never tried it. and if it is real I would not like to call any spirit to get such foolish answers.. May be the police will like to use it..as shown in some movies and TV serials.. it help them to identify the murderer..Ha ha..

Hello sumanadep,
Hehe, funny the police could use it. Well yes, it's called a quija board, even i didn't know the name till i played that game, i mean i just watched my friends play the game. I was in the same room and i didn't feel like something was there but yes, the answers we were getting were quite funny and that last question freaked us out, honestly.
Such games should not be attempted if an experienced player is not with you, lol.

That game was really popular when I was in elementary. We would just use cardboard, that's where we draw circles for the letters and the yes and no. And we would always use a coin. We loved doing it when it's raining and the classes are stopped. The coin would always try to move but not really form the right words or the right answers and we always thought that somebody from the group is moving the coin though no one admitted it.

Yes, rosielleanne,
Yes we did the same thing, we carved on out of a large chartpaper and arranged the characters and put the yes and no option and a numbers from 0 to 9 too. The coin, four of laid our fingers over it so we were not sure if someone was trying to trick us, but the last question freaked us out where no one but one friend who was just standing and talking knew the answer, and we asked about his birthday and i swear none of us knew it and the ghost gave the right answer.
Kids, please don't try this at home.
Honestly, this is not a nice game to spend time upon. Unnecessary attention taken away from something coincidental.
