At what age is it legal to smoke or drink in your country?

Here it is legal to drink at the age of 16 but they are going to chang it to 18 and to smoke it is 18. I think that they should have put first the age limit of drinking to 18 years instead of smoking because it is more dangerous. Of course both are bad for your health but there are people that drink and drive or people that drink alot and have many accident as to when you smoke you are just harming yourself and you wont do something stupid.
What is the age that people can smoke or drink in your country and how do you feel about it?

A junior license has some restrictions, such as when you can legally drive, and how many you can have in the car. It used to be that anyone under 18 couldn't drive after midnight till early the next morning....not sure if it has changed. An adult license has no restrictions.

It's legal to drink here when your 18.
As far as I know there's no legal age to smoke.. However it is illegal to sell smokes to anyone under 18. It's legal for people under eighteen to smoke, the only people who will get in trouble is whoever sold them the smokes.
Schools here even have an area for the kids to smoke. They are only allowed to smoke in that area though.

The area at my school was the corner of the parking lot, so it is outside. However people tend to smoke inside the "smoking doors there" (Yes we actually had doors called that 
) They were the parking lot doors. I think people who smoked there got suspended though if they were caught.
Yea it doesn't matter who's smoking them, I've seen 10 year olds smoking. The police won't do anything about it. Maybe they'll tell them it's not healthy, but that's about it. You can get in serious trouble for selling smokes to minors though. Not that kids need to go into stores to buy them, smokes are very easy to get here, especially at schools.

hi,human beigns does not smoke any age.but they r llegally ready to smoke or dring after 20 age only.because it is maturity age.this age only accepting this habit as well as most of them people they adiuit in this habit at this age.so we avoid to audit below 18 0r 20 they do smoke or dring in earlier age.it is very badhabit to human begins.it is very painful our health.so we should avoid this habbit.

In my country It's illegal to smoke or drink,until you're 18,but I think It's a stupid law,because anyone who wants to smoke or drink can do it :)

It usually 18 is the legal age for this things. But for me, it should not be based on age, it should be based on the capability of the person to go into this vices. There are people of 18 years of age but not that responsible yet. And besides, they are not employed yet to be accountable for whatever circumstances these doings might caused them. So probably, age should not be the basis, but actually, even to those matured ones, warnings are still given for yes, these are really harmful to one's health. But legally wise, 18 is also in our country.

I believe you can smoke and drink at the age of 18 in Singapore. I personally don't smoke and drink so I don't particularly care about that. But there are people who are waiting to try out smoking and drinking on their 18th birthday. I don't think it's a healthy choice anyway but we can't really restrict everyone from that since it's more complexly linked with trades in that area. So although Singapore government have campaigns to discourage people from smoking, they can't ban it altogether.

teen drinking is our of control its digusting! drunk driving is treated as a traffic offense?!?! you just had the potential of killing not only yourself but innocent unknowing drivers as well! and its a traffic offense.
smoking is just disgusting in itself, so if you smoke and would like a dose of lung cancer be my guest.
its nuts how there is nooo self control, among people, so many deaths a year from these ppls irresponsibilty they should just make it alllllll illegal. I would like to drive down the street and not be scared that some idiot just may hit me cause they are drunk out there mind.

For me, the exact age for smoking and drinking are about 20 years old.In that age,teenager can control when and where to smoke and drink.I feel that smoking and drinking can harm to your health like what you said but there are people wants to drink and smoke so we cannot avoid that case.
