This sounds like it could be your lcd screen going faulty on your laptop. Inside the laptop just underneath your lcd screen there's something called the inverter card! It's just one long strip that connects via two wires to your laptop. This can be removed and replaced. It's this strip that gives you the lighting on your laptop screen. This could be going faulty. Do you remember the last thing you did before experiencing this problem? Is your laptop still under warranty? If not then it could be expensive for you to have the laptop repaired. Anyway, sorry not much help otherwise. Good luck. Andrew

Hi sincerelyne, At first, if your lappy still in guaranty, you should tell them about your problems as soon as possible. If not, lets think about your LCD or LCD cable have problem. Is that green lines always appear on your screen? or they just appear sometime?

Hi sincerelyne! When fixed lines appears on LCD screens this usually mean that the crystals on those area are damaged. But this is not always the case. It may be because of your video card. If it is just your video card and you got a separate video card then you could just replace the damaged one. But if built in video card, then that's a big problem. Also if the problem is the LCD then repairing it might be too costly that it would be more practical just to buy a new laptop instead. You have to bring it to a good technician, someone which was recommended to you by a friend.
