If you had to teach something, what will you teach?

I have many answers to this question: I think it would be fun to teach people how to make the perfect sandwich. There aren't many awesome sandwich-makers out there. I also think it would be interesting to teach senior citizens how to maneuver facebook, or the iphone. Mostly, though, I just want to read with children. I enjoy reading very much and it sucks when I see my younger siblings staring at the TV or PC. Books are fun. :)

@indahfth, I betcha you could teach religion, nature and or culture. I believe you have a knack for caring and I think thus far you have given me a thing or two to reconsider.
So I would have to say you do have the answer and that is to share your kindness.
Thought I add this in as she really is a very nice lady, form her replies after I comment I can sense it.

I would teach English..don't know where but abroad somewhere that has a shortage of English teachers. Never gonna happen though but it's fun thinking about it!
I enjoyed reading your little discussion there and I agree, it WOULD be fun teaching people how to make the perfect sandwich. It IS an art-form..gotta have the right bread for a start as it all starts collapsing lol.
And yes, books ARE fun. I read loads when I was young. Not so much now but once I start working again (if ever) there are a few books I have never read but want to do so now.

Teaching is really funny and interesting. But one should have aptitude for it. Many are born teachers.but all teachers are not successful.I was a teacher in the beginning of my life. But I gave it up because it was not paying .I changed several jobs and when I look back the best part of life was the period I worked as teacher.Teaching children is really challenging in the wake of many distractions like TV etc.One should learn the art of attracting them away from TV. May be with toys and pictures we may be able to do that.So you can try with your kids

I agree with you. I've met people who really couldn't teach, despite having really impressive resumes (M.A. in Education and all that). I've also met people who don't know what lesson plans are, but are a natural in front of students. :) Teaching is really fun and I'm glad that you've experienced it also.

My major is english teaching. If there is a chance to teach something, the best choice for me is teaching English to Chinese people or teaching Chinese to all foreigners.

I had teach a senior high school student some months ago.I teacher the boy math, chemistry and physics. This was my first experience as a teacher, and I had a little nervous for it.Before to start the taught,I read and learned many knowledge to perpare for it.During the taught time,I done the job very well. From this experience,I had learned many knowledge. Not only to learn how to teach and how to express, but also how to get along with the educatee.About all,we should perpare for it fully as far as possible.

Hello there! It's my first post here :) I've chosen this subjest because I think that teaching kids may be fun as they catch everything really fast. I love to teach biology to my 10-year-old cousin. She's so interested when I begin telling her about different reactions that take place in the body. :D I really wouldn't mind being a biology teacher at school. :D

That is a very interesting skill! Making sandwiches. I know that you always see people making your sandwich at restaurants like subway, etc., but to make a real great home made one, it would take great skill. That is something I would like to learn myself.
But if I were to teach anything, I think it would be 'origami' stuff. Or even a simple thing like making different types of paper airplanes.

I love math a lot and i am formerly teaching math to my students. It has been a great experience for me because it helps me to earn some money and also helps me to increase my knowledge. I love math and lot and even if someone awakes me with a math problem i would be glad to help. I spend a couple of hours giving tuition of math to some students of mine.
Cheers!

I really love math too! And I was very good at it in school. I tried actually teaching math to children. It did not go well. It took me a lot of patience to teach something that, I felt, students should "get" on their own. They finally got the concept after a while, though!

I love to teach children specially my sons. I used to teach them advance so they can relate on the lessons that their teachers discuss the next day. If I will be a teacher I think I want to teach Science and Health. Biology in particular because it's my favorite subject when I'm still studying.

Programming will be my first preference, this is something that I really love to do. Apart from programming, Physics will be my second option for teaching, Physics is the most interesting subject that I read in my school and I like it a lot.

I am giving you my honest answer. That's all. Anyway, the emphasis should be on the word TEACH. I surely wouldn't want to try to teach something that I didn't know anything at all about . . .
I would teach people how to properly care for animals and how to study for what breed of dog is the best for their particular lifestyle. I would also teach them how to train their dogs.
