I'm pretty forgetful, and I blame it on a serious allergic reaction in the mid-1980's. But even before, I would forget stuff, so, I make lists.

Making the list is the most proper way so we will not forget.

Yes, I belong to this group. I had posted a topic like this and I thought it is an early sign of Alzheimer's disease but people say it was not. I even forget to do some preventive things to avoid forgetting things. This is bad, but doesn't mean I am a bad person.

Yes, I have become forgetful. Particially because of my chronic depression and partially because of an accident I had years ago. So I make lists and have them on hard copy and online of things I need to remember to do at some point. I keep appointments and tv shows I don't want to miss on my calendar in Yahoo. Alot of to do's on there as well. Anything that helps I guess.

i often forget something important, like my birthday sister or other. I do feel bad but there is nothing i can do. I am only human. Human often make mistakes and often forgets. My only way to remind of something is write a note in my mirror, so i can see it every time to not forget something

I am forgetfull in some aspects. Its weird, some things I can remember clear as day. Other things that seem like I should remember I don't even have an idea of. It's very strange how your mind works. Maybe selective memory is real. To help myself I like to make lists and notes for myself. I find it helps me alot. Do you find yourself forgetfull?

All part of getting older to be more and more forgetful. I think one needs to be aware that we are going to forget stuff so arrange things to minimize the risk of forgetting. I keep a diary at my desk and write down everything I need to do each day and into the future so I don't forget. I leave my hat and cell phone and car keys and wallet all together just inside the door so when I go out I have got all I need. So I think if we know we are going to forget we can prepare for it because it is so annoying when you do forget something. So write little notes all the time and carry them with you so you can keep referring to them. Have fun.

Yes, you are correct, but sometimes because of my haste, I was not really paying attention to what I do.

indahfth NO I rarely forget something as I try to keep on time when I make a decision and stick to it. I do not put off doing things so that I do not have a lot of stuff to remember. Also I do write' things down that I should do before its too late.I know that a lot of people my age do forget things but I really do not, just rarely like once or twice month if that often. But I do forget names unless I make a consious effort to learn the name by tying it to some object like Mrs.j.Stoney become a stone with a J in front and an y at the en.

It's not easy remembering things when you are at work. sometimes, your mind is pretty much occupied with work and we tend to forget other things. like special events, birthdays, friends that you've known. but of course, there are times that we remember it, only when we are not busy. forgetfull really happens when you grow old

Yes you are right. We become forgotten because of the busyness and the increasingly older age.

Almost everyone forgets something or the other. Sometimes you cannot remember a particular name or thing at the right time and later on you recollect. It happens to me and I feel embarrassed to acknowledge. It may be due to cluttering up the mind with too many things. All the same I am still able to remember names of a lot of people, their telephone numbers etc. Keeping note of the thing is the simplest way, I think to act as aide memoir.

If you forget a phone number or name of the old people are not met, I felt a natural. But I often forget, with the items I have just placed. And it made me feel bad.

Hi friend I am back after a long time. No by nature I am not forgetful.Though I must admit that there are a couple of things that I can't remember..1)Names of individuals and 2)telephone numbers and for this habit of mine I write down the names and contact numbers of people.Regarding other activities I generally don't forget and maintain the schedule properly.

very common that we forget things, who has not passed him, but if this happens very often, all the time, is already a serious problem because we do everyday actions can become dangerous, such as forgetting shut off the gas, and accidents can occur. Then there are other omissions that happen and there are not important, like forgetting a particular date, and is compounded when we forget an anniversary or birthday.

yeah i'm sort of bad at remembering names, and it's really embarrassing especially when i meet someone i've recently met and couldn't remember the person's name. most of the time i feel awful about myself for being so stupid and forgetting something that important. i've decided to eat more of the healthy stuff that improve memory, and recently, i've started taking multivitamins. i really hope they help me remember what ought to be remembered~

I can be forgetful especially if I am feeling tired or I have something on my mind. I sometimes go about my daily chores and forget if I have just done something or not which is really annoying! I read somewhere that Vitamin B, especially B6 and B12, Folic acid, Antioxidants, Vitamins C and E, Beta carotene andOmega-3 fish oil tablets are supplements which can really help...

I have an impeccable memory, and sometimes I can forget even the most important and or littlest thing. I believe since my memory is running ramped worrying about so many things at once tht I put my brain on overdrive. When I quickly remember something I had forgotten I get really upset. It does not matter if it is an unimportant thing I forgot, I will be so upset. As I suppose I am a bit of a perfectionist and can be my worst enemy. So whenever this thing I forget then for the next couple days I put a sticky note right on the top of my laptop screen so I can attend to it right away. I do not think I am a bad person for it, I believe it is in my nature to be aim for perfectionism as well I am truly a very well organized person.
