So many rings in fingers

rings in fingers - old man wearing so many rings with fake gemstones

Friends, I have started morning walk from today as I said in my discussion. For safety I keep a walking stick. At least I can drive away the stray dogs, abundant on the streets here. Today I met a man of my locality; he too was on morning walk. He is poor and older than me. I saw him wearing so many rings with cheap gem stones; those are definitely in effective astrologically. I wear one red coral and another yellow sapphire; they are genuine but rather costly. I believe they give me sort of protection from bad stars in my birth chart. Well wearing of several rings in fingers is common here among very rich persons and poor persons. What about your place and you? Do you wear rings with gem stones too? Professor

Hi Professor, let's talk about the morning walk first. Here, the place, the nearby neighborhood where I usually go for jogging or brisk walk having fierce dogs in certain places as well occasionally. They are not stray dogs. They are dogs from the ajar gate. Sometimes the gate is not closed properly and the fierce dog lingering near the gate would approach and bark to me violently. For the purpose of safety I always bring along with me a meter long cane. the one which parents use to cane their naughty kids. I am not accustomed with ring or rings on my fingers. So I don't wear any ring, even my wedding ring. I wear necklace with pendant fixed with my lucky gem stone. It's rather costly as it's a natural and genuine gem. I have been wearing this for more than a decade of years. I wonder whether this lucky gem would bring fortunate to me. Anyway I feel rather relieved and easy at least to have something auspicious to keep me safe and fortunate all the time I seldom see people around wearing many rings. What I have noticed so far people usually put on one ring or two rings. Anyway less people wearing more than four rings on both hands. Happy posting

I guess I haven't ever thought about a shiny rock being able to protect me. I do not have any although I wear two rings all the time. One is a plain silver pinky ring (which I buy when I find anything in a size 3!) and my mother's ring my kids gave me for Christmas several years ago. It has both of their birthstones set in it.

in my country are usually people who work as healers usually use the big ring on his finger. I do not use the ring on my hand, because it was incriminating in my fingers

I wear my wedding ring all of the time. It is silver, no gemstones, Celtic knot design. I will on occasion wear either real or synthetic gemstones, but that is just because I like how they look. I do not attribute any mystical powers to them.

Hi Professor~ I hope you enjoyed your morning walk. I like to wear alot of rings, but that isn't a custom and it is just me who likes to wear them. I don't have any gemstones, only diamond chips in them, but the are all real gold. I wear three on each hand, total of six in all. I also wear three earrings in each ear. I don't have my birthstone which is an Opal (as my avatar) because I was told that it is unlucky to buy one for oneself and no one has ever bought me one. It is quite a beautiful stone.

Oh, I guess, that depends on the person. I also see other people here in my country wearing ring or even rings in every finger. Sometimes, these are young people mostly teenagers so I'd take it as their fashion statement. It must be the current trend among the young ones right now. Also middle aged people. What I thought of this is that they just want to flaunt their treasures which could be dangerous considering these attract robbers and theives. I am not sure if there are people here wearing gemstones as protection but I guess, it is possible that such belief does exist here, too. No, I don't wear rings or too many rings in my finger. I don't even wear my wedding ring anymore...Ia just don't like the look of too much accessories in the body. And I am not a fan of such belief, too.:)

hmm here in the Philippines there are people who would wear such rings, but it is not very common to wear them as accessories. You would only see people with rings if they are probably engaged, married... those with rings, would not have some gems in them too, i typically see them with with just a plain silver ring, or a plain gold ring... with no huge or noticeable gems. :D

Right now I am wearing a silver ring with amethyst in it. I have other gemstone rings, both expensive and inexpensive. I love colored gemstones.

Yes I have many rings on my fingers.. I have sapphires, amethyst, opal and turqouise. I also have other stones in the form of bracelets and necklaces. My favorite and my obsession- what I consider my THEME stone- Is the Malachite-Azurite. I have it at my neck, my wrist, my ankle and I have earrings to match(but don't wear them often) I love the Beautiful Blue and green of the stone and each one so different. I feel very connected to this stone.

dear professor, as what i have observed here in the philippines, mostly rich people wear their jewelries more during formal parties and dinners. it shines and twinkles when being touched by the light because it is mostly emeralds and diamonds in gold bracelets, necklaces or rings. during casual days, they are the what i call "very simply dressed people with very simple accessories". you will see very few on a person on the street wearing, sometimes, just a simple ring (without those shiny stones) or simple pearl earring on people walking on the street. they never put so many because they might become victims of snatching or worse, being held up by bad elements who would want their jewelries. i guess most jewelries i see on the body are fashion fancy jewelries, to show one's sense of fashion. others wear jewelries due to its sentimental value. have a nice day. ann

Hi, Professor2010! No, I don't have any rings on my finger. And here in Northeast China, one ring is enough. If you wear too many rings, especially big gold or sapphire rings, you'll be considered as showing off. I think wearing many rings is a kind of custom in your hometown, but it's not here.

I can't bear having too much ring on my fingers if am going to wear them everyday. I just can't. Maybe because of work coz it is not really suitable when you are in the bakery. But for me, having too much ring won't look nice at all. My husband gave me an engagement ring and our wedding ring but i do not wear my engagement ring everyday coz sometimes it makes me feel uncomfortable. Only in special ocassions.

hi p rofessor wish I was wealthy then I could afford many gemstone rings. I had a turquoise necklace but unfortunately I caught it on something and the string broke so it has to be restrung but the pieces are small chips and my eyesight is not good enough fot me to restring it. its a lovely necklace too. Yes wealthy people here in the US also wear expensive rings and jewelery too. But theres lots of gemstone jewelry thats not so costly but is real gem stones too.

The only rings that I personally wear are my wedding band and my engagement ring. Before I was engaged to my husband I didn't wear any rings at all. I know that it might sound odd to some people, but I've never been the kind of person that really likes to wear a lot of jewelry, however, I do want to wear my wedding band set because it shows everyone that I am married and I don't in any way want to deceive the man that I am married to.
