What do you feel you gain from writing?

So, I publish up to 100 articles per month from my work on the various websites which I am a member of.
If you write, why do you do it? What do you think you gain, other than the obvious financial benefits?
I like to write things that I am knowledgable about, knowing that people will enjoy and also learn from what I have written.

Up to this point, I've not made the decision to become a published online writer. However, there are a lot of reasons that I do write. The first reason that I write is because it gives me a creative outlet. I've really enjoyed creative writing since I was a young girl and because I have a wild imagination, writing is one way that I am able to keep that tame. In addition to that, I also sometimes like to write in an educational way so that I am able to pass my own knowledge on to other people.

I would love to be able to write and submit articles, but I am unsure how to go about it. I do love to write especially the funny stories I have with my family on holidays. I would love to write about the single mothers travel tips, but as I said I am a bit unsure how to start.

I have always enjoyed writing. it is not foe monetary values that i like to write. Writing is a way for me to express how i feel. it is the way my creative energy is released. If i am feeling down or troubled,, writing can usually lift my spirits back up. Writing is one of the joys of my life!

writing is a hobby that i like since it relieves my stress and somehow an outlet to the ideas my mind creates from the 'what ifs' it creates. so the result is i write fan fictions, i joined sites that gather authors like me but i don't do it for financial reasons, i haven't tried that too.
when i write and know that people enjoy reading them, it makes me want to write more and explore other genres but still be known in the area i'm more confident about. i can pretty much experiment on my characters and i've been more observant of every day life because i realized even in the little, simple things something can be made into a story.

That is wonderful, writing 100 articles per month ! Writing is one of my favorite hobbies, and I like writing articles and short stories too. For me this is a spare time activity, with my other full time job taking most of my time. I enjoy writing since it has been my favorite hobby since my high school days. Today too, it is a way for me to relax and get rid of the stresses of the day after a long day at the work place.

I also write many articles each month and I have hundreds of articles published online. I do earn income from writing, but I also gain a lot of pleasure and new knowledge. In addition to writing about what I know, I like doing research for articles and learning things for myself, so I can then write about those topics.
At present I'm writing a lot of travel articles, and I love doing the research. I can discover and explore new places without ever actually going there

Well I don't get any money for what I write (Short Stories and Novels), so that's obviously not the reason I do it. I write because I love to tell stories. I love getting lost in a new world and coming up with new adventures. I write because I love it, and not for any other reason.

When I write I gain knowledge. Sharing them through my works is just the result of the things I've learned out of my readings. Therefore, writing is a very good hobby. Aside from the fact that we can earn money out of it, we continue to learn things as we go along.
Also, we become more spontaneous in expressing ourselves through writing.

Hello, Gemma. I write because I must - it seems to be in my DNA. I earn a respectable living from my writing, but what I gain is the knowledge that I can express myself eloquently. When people contact me with praise for my writing - which happens on an almost daily basis - I feel great that they've taken something from my articles.
I also love to research articles, as it extends my knowledge base. On top of all that, I get paid well for doing what I most enjoy. What do I gain from writing? In a word, fulfillment.

The first ten articles that I wrote were mostly something that has to do with me, what I feel and what I think...
I don't write to entertain nor to be entertained. Writing has become an outlet of what I can not unleash freely. It has become my therapy especially when U am emotionally depressed. Through writing I can unburden myself from the pain and heartaches. I can unleash my thoughts without having to fear that I have offended or hurt someone.
Writing is my silent savior during the darkest time of my life...

Well, it might sound strange, but I actually prefer writing about things I don't know so much about, because then you learn at the same time. I also think it is intresting to experiment with topics etc., to see what does best. It is a bit like gambling, only you can't lose, haha!

I did some article writing works before and, to be honest, I was the first one to benefit from all my writings. Not just because it gave me extra income but because I learned so many things when I do research for my topic. It was like I only not able accomplish my work but was also able to accomplish something for myself.
