A pleasant day to all,
Whenever I type and write, I always make sure that I do the spell check before submitting my work to my supervisor. Hence, my supervisor will get upset if he sees a lot of correction and mispelled words if I will not do that prior to submitting the worked I have done.
How about you, do you also do this - are you conscious to the spelling of the words that you type and write?

It is interesting to me that people asociate people who cant spell (like me) and make asumptions that we are stupid. I do watch and try to make sure that the words i put to paper are spelled correctly however when you cant spell it is somewht pointless. so i type and hope that the person im typeing to understands that even though im far from stupid my spelling is horrable! As you can see! They need spell check on here its my best friend! lol

I try to be conscious of my spelling when i post. i get frustrated with myself when i let a typo go by that I have missed. I don't want the world thinking that i can't spell. Sometimes I get in the habit of spell checking myself before i post. when i don't, that's when i make a typo.

Yes i make sure I will submit a report wihtout any mistakes. Because misspelled words have other meanings. It may not be the word you want to tell. It may just confuse the reader on what you want to convey. Of course your employer will get upset to works with lots of errors because this may be confusing them on what exactly the words you want to convey.

It depends on the purpose of writing. If the audience of a report is a client or my boss, then before I hand in, I will do many many checks. By having the correct grammar and spelling is very important. I don't want to give them a bad impression.
However, if the purpose is sharing our feelings and thoughts, for example over here in MyLot, I usually try to type correcting while tying. After I finish typing, I almost immediately press the post response button.
The browser that I uses will alert me when I do have any spelling mistakes. Thus, I the chance of me spelling wrongly is very little. The only question left is grammar. However, I seldom re-read before posting. Unless I am starting the discussion.

yes,i always make sure the spelling of the word ive been written and type is correct. Most of the time i double check this and reading many times repeatedly.because i believe wrong spelling of the words can lead to misunderstanding or hard to understand what are you trying to convey and explain. wrong spelling also can create a bad impression to the writer and can reduce the interest of a reader to completely finish reading the article.

I try to be. If writing is a part of your job, it only makes sense. And, even casual writing, I try to spell everything right. Spell check helps, although making sure you don't use words that sound the same, but have a different spelling is also important. And, spell check doesn't catch those.

Yes, I am very meticulous on everything I write haha!
Unfortunately, I make a mistake here and there. But I guess everyone tries to prevent mistakes from happening. We always try to be the best at what we do, and when we fail it breaks a down a little bit. Especially when we know that a certain fault could have been prevented.
I understand how you would feel after your boss getting mad at you. It would be better if he didn't get upset, and maybe gave you kind suggestions instead.
Chances are you will probably find a mistake in my writing haha.
Good discussion. Have a great day airasheila!

I am conscious of my spelling and grammar, but sometimes I type faster than I'm thinking and I'll mess up a word or two.
