In asian it said that girl is closer to dad while the boy is closer to mom in a typical family. Is is true in western culture family? For my observation the girl is always holding hands with the dad while the boy is holding hands with the mom while crossing the street and the girl is more obedient to the dad commands while the boy is more discipline and usually will listen to the bark of the mom.Is this true?

Well, maybe it depends in the family where they belong. I can say that i'm close to both of them.. they are very loving and approachable. i can share to them my thoughts and emotion. i was just sad that i have no longer my father with me.

I think this is different in every family. It can be that a couple has two daughters, and one daughter is closer to the father while the other is closer to the mother. Or in other families the band between children and parents is equal. It just depends on who you are, and what your parents are like, and which personalities match the most.
