Friends, today for the first I rejected several friend requests from members with a ‘0’ in front of their name. Means they have not responded to any discussion; on checking I saw they have nor created any discussion here. Well you may ask why, I rejected, here is the answer.
Few days ago, I had accepted friend requests from three such persons, my profile page showed I have messages, but I had not checked, this morning I checked, I was really annoyed to see the messages were from these members with a ‘0’, they asked me join sites under their referral link, to earn money.
I tried to reply to the first, just wanted to say, I was not interested to earn. To my surprise, I could not send message back, it said this person was not my friend!!
This means the wise chap, gave me the message and next deleted me from friend list. I could have reported this to mylot , but well I am not doing. I will check up my friend list later and delete all having a ‘0’ as I said.
Any such experience of yours, what for these people are here? Share your views and story.

So far I haven't had any users with total zero adding me, but of course if they do I will reject them, because it clearly shows they're here just to spam your inbox. I hate people being like that. You could ask nicely and maybe I'd join under you and maybe you could make some posts here too and earn more. Wouldn't hurt, huh?

I always check to see if they have responded to aNY ONe then I look to see how many friends when they have alot and have posted none it reject them for just means they are not here to discus any thing. I will be going thru some later to see what they have done for the new ones I have accepted only a couple have posted and I have responded. The ones not doing any ting will get seleted.

Thanks for the advice. I always accept friend requests from members. I really don't check whether they only have "0". I think I should heed this warning. I don't want to experience what you've gone through.

Hi. Professor2010. I have had a member do this to me too. Except this person did not delete me as a friend as I tried to send them a message. This person did not have any discussions that they have started or replied to. I denied their friend request. Before this, they sent me an message with an referral link that they wanted me to join. I think that it is very mean of this person to send you an referral link and then left you stuck with it. That is cruel! So cruel! I have denied the person that has done this to me. They asked me to be their friend about three times on myLot. And every time, I have denied their friend request too. If they don't participate, then I don't want to participate into being their friend either.

When I first started with mylot, I accepted everyone that requested me as a friend. However, I rapidly learned that there are people that will come on here only to request that someone join under them on another site. When I realized that this was happening, I changed the ways that I will accept friend requests. I give new mylotters an opportunity to become active on here before I will decide whether or not to accept them as a friend. This has greatly reduced the amount of spam that I get from people now.

Hi
It is bad. If somebody send message or your friend startdiscusion we should response to him/her but sometimes it happpens by mistke because new members does not have knowled how to work there so it happens or sometimes there is no time response

I don't automatically delete them. I give them three days. Then if their posts are still at zero, I delete the friend request. I figure that if they haven't posted anything by then, they have either lost interest in the site, or they just added me to spam me.

Hi Professor! You are not alone! There seems to be alot of this
happening here suddenly, more than I have ever seen before. In
fact, there have been quite a few discussions on this from others
who feel exactly the same way, annoyed! I have been wise to this
trick for sometime now and when I see that someone has a "0"
next to their name I leave them "hanging" for awhile and it I
don't see them responding at least to any discussions and just
"collecting friends" then I delete them! I also hate to have to
delete anyone, but I don't want to be bothered by those that are
just interested in referrals! This is not that kind of site!
So, don't feel badly Professor, there are alot of us who are
doing the same thing!

So far I have accepted every friend request irrespective of their participation in mylot. From now on, I am going to accept friend requests based on their participation in mylot.

Thanks for bringing this up. I am not aware of these members who joined myLot with other hidden interests. I just accept and accept all my friend requests and respond to discussions everyday. I remembered that I have also encountered a friend with this '0' discussion. Now, I will be more observant.

dear professor,
i have had a friend's request several days ago. i was hoping his/her zero points would move but it has not. i have had accepted two 0 in the last several days and they also have send me sites to join. but their 0's has not moved even a bit. now i know what they are up to. guess i will have to clear my friend's list of 0 points.
have a nice day.

your not alone prof.. i recently learned of doing the same thing too.. i used to just keep accepting friends invite.. but i have been receiving messages from people with 0 post asking me to be their referal... some even have multiple accounts.. so now, i dont accept invites from people who dont intend to use mylot at all.

I have encountered this kind of guy too, only once! After that, if someone with a 0 active point send me a friend request, I'll retain his/her request on pending status for one day. After one day, if the number below his/her name is still 0, I'll deny the request without mercy. bluemoonpavilion is also using this method, but she is kinder than me, she gives them one week before deny them.
