CashGopher won't work on me. that sucks :-(

Hey Letran! It didn't work for me either and I have AOL and Internet Explorer! I am very upset because I put in all my personal info and downloaded the software (which came with a warning)! I am trying to get my "computer guy" to check it out, but don't know when he can and I hope I didn't "corrupt" my computer! I have written to them, but not heard back!

The "please wait" prompt was like taking forever for me! I don't know what went wrong though but I am actually still waiting for it to complete as I'm typing here.

I also look forward to earning from Cashgopher. However, tonight I tried to download and then installed it, it failed. The problem window occurred. My computer is Windows XP and I can't find out what's wrong with it. Perhaps many people login it and therefore there are technical problems available. I hope it will be fixed soon. I love China

So now you have gone and break it, sweetie. How am i suppose to see if the software works or not? So hard to get good help these days. WHY ME? TATA.

it also does not work on me. sooo sad. i cannot install it in my laptop- i have a windows XP OS, by the way. i think there's something wrong in the file or there's something missing. i hope to make it work and i still have high hope that i'll be able to fix it. hehehe! well if not, maybe i can ask for some help to mylotters out there!

I think you should install a windows OS. I know you're kind of traumatized with how Windows, a proprietary software, crashed and somehow f*cked up your computer. But I think, not only for the sake of cashgopher, you should just take the risk. I also had a lot of crashes with windows and now I've installed another OS together with windows, and I do a weekly maintenance like spybot, virus scan, and deletion of files I no longer need. How do you install another OS? You should make a partition on your harddrive and install the linux based OS on of the partition that you made and windows os on the other. This will make your maintenance simpler yet tedious. You could do virus scans and adware scans on windows, and after doing those, you could double check if your computer has other virus which were undetected using the linux os. I did everything I stated above and my windows has been running for a year now without any problems.

I'm not downloading it yet since this is the work puter and I don't want any conflicts whatsoever. I'll just take a look at what others have to say first and seemingly some have downloaded, remains to be seen what their feedbacks are.

sorry to that letran. i guess by this time, we have nothing to do unless cashgopher will be available for mac or linux so it can work for you. or you can try to change your operating system.

Bad luck.. I think you will have to wait a little longer.. have you reported the error to the admin.. just wait till they make it compatible to work on linux.. also you can contact Linux for help.. I think they have some software that enables to install windows compatible software to be installed on Linux.. Hope you don't have to wait long.. best of luck..

cashgopher could be better for others but nor for me. I'm just not into the idea of someone or something is watching over my internet activity.

I think there is NEED A LITTLE HELP option where you can choose your Linux or you can specify other options.

I also couldn't set-up cashgropher :(

me to letran. i am using mac so i cant download the software. it really sucks!

hi letranknight25, it won't work for me either because i go on mylot from a library computer. hopefully in the future, they can think of a way for people who access mylot from a public terminal to use cashgopher also.

I'm using Windows specifically Vista and it does not work on me either. Yeah that really sucks. What a bummer! I was really excited as you are come September 1st. I had classes this morning that's why I was in a rush getting home so that I can get my hands on my laptop and start using Cash Gopher once and for all.. BUT.. unfortunately, it won't install. It won't even send my query. I hope they'll fix whatever bug it is soon. :) Keeping my fingers crossed. Best of luck

That’s a shame LetranKnught! I don’t know what to tell you! The only options you have are to either install Windows OS or wait until Cash Gopher becomes compatible with Linux! I hope it will eventually sort itself out for you!

Hi, Knight.:) I had a hard time downloading the system, too. It took a couple of hours before it was finally completed. Right now, I am not seeing any problem yet with my pc. I hope this will not interrupt with other applications as well. Too bad to hear you are not going to enjoy this new way to earn money... I have it donwloaded and running on my computer I have yet to see what it does exactly I hope it works well for me. fingers crossed.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't download the software. I can download it, but I decided not to. I know MyLot is trustworthy, but I don't want to take the chance of having my identity stolen from downloading software. I hope you can find a way to download if you are still anxious. Maybe buying a PC will be of benefit in the long run. I wish you the best. Have a wonderful day!
