both of them are left and right poles of cricket. i mean the best right hander in cricket history is sachin and the best left hander is brain lara. but the records made by both of them are never breakable by anyone. no one cross the no. of centuries made by sachin. and no one can score 400 in tests like lara.

Hi, Both players are legends of cricket. There is no doubt it.Both are also masters of cricket. It is difficult to judge who is the best. Both have special qualities which makes them different.Their first difference is Sachin is right handed batsman while Lara is a left handed batsman.Sachin and Lara usually play with lots of concentration and seriousness in the game. These are some of the qualities of these two players.According to batting style Lara has an unusual left batting style.Sachin has a normal batting style.According to records Sachin is better than Lara.According to spirit and sportsmanship ,both of them are excellent in spirit.According to captain Sachin is the best.He has captained Mumbai Indians which became successful under him. These guys cannot be forgotten until this life is over. They have been a role model for other young cricketers.

i believe that at the end of the day only two batsmen will remain to praise ie. lara and sachin.both of them are unique..sachin is a true master of the sport and in my opinion is only born to play cricket.both of them outsmart each other in different areas.if u look at lara his style says everything.he made 11,953 runs in only 131 test matches whereas sachin took 151 matches to reach the landmark.moreover its a pleasent sight in cricket to watch lara bat.

I am going to vote for Sachin Tendulkar merely due to the fact that he is a superb human being and in order to be successful you need to be a very good individual first. If we go by records then obviously Lara has scored 400 in Test cricket which Sachin didn't but the amount of runs scored by Sachin is more than Lara.It is difficult to compare the batting styles of the two greats. However Sachin is a much better player of spin bowling than Lara.Sachin's passion foe cricket cannot be compared with anybody. Its huge. Both the two players are true sportsman and if you go by captaincy ability then both are almost similar. They don't possess an envious captaincy record.Hence Sachin scores more than Lara in almost every aspect. He is the BEST.

Hi, I think Brian lara is the best not only based on the records, average, opponent his contribution to his team is immense. moreover he does not played for his own records. Sachin is playing at his best in the current stages since he has got all the records under his belt now he started realising to play for the nation pride.

As far as the points you raised here, I consider both the players are equal. One thing I can say, if Sachin is brought up abroad, he could have gone higher level than now. With that point in mind, I consider Sachin is best of the two. (Imagine if Sachin had enough practice in fast tracks. Our Indian tracks are slow. But Lara, has more played on fast tracks.)

Hi imran884u, You have raised an issue which has been discussed time and again by experts and novices with equal interest but I feel no decisive conclusion has reached so far. Both players are great in their own right and no comparison should be drawn to decide who is the greater. The issue should be left alone. we will serve cricket better that way.
