I don't mind visiting the dentist. I like the dentist here than the one at my hometown but its oh soo much more expensive here ( Studying in Australia btw). Cost me 280aud for two fillings. But I could make small talk with my dentist here which is ok, at least I could talk to him and not like the one I usually visit in at my hometown

Owww!!! You are so BRAVE!!! I could actually salute you on that!!! I wish I could be that casual with my dentist. Well, I'm a talker so I really talk to people even when I'm scared. But talking to the dentist can't really make me feel at home!!!

Its actually hard being the dentist (according to my dentist). haha My dentist said that sometimes, people would say that they hated him but then, they would quickly change their statement that it was not personal, they just hated dentists. Haha.. I don't blame the people though, its soo expensive!!

I doubt anyone likes the dentist. I mean if you have no trouble with your teeth your not going to the dentist, which means you going for pain or trouble. Both are never good things in life.

Hi invisiblelady, when having any dental problem I feel reluctant to pay a visit to the dentist since my childhood. I was scared of the injection as well as the extraction. I feel sick as well if having any tooth filling up. I would feel the severe pain on the particular part of the gum in a sudden while having grinding.
I have been visiting the same dentist since I had my first job due to his skillful dental skill. But it's rather sad that nowadays I have to wait in the long queue to see him for he has gained good reputation. This has attracted lots of people to seek for his excellent dental service. I hate to waste my time waiting for my time to see the dentis. if I could I always wait until the last moment when I couldn't stand for the pain or uncomfortableness I'm then willing to visit the dentist
Happy posting

It couldn't deny that dentist is an admirable professional personage who plays an important role in our life. If without any dental clinic in our place surely we would suffer from the dental problem. seems that dentist is a person that makes us to hate as well as to love

Eek. I don't see how anyone could enjoy it. There's always the threat of fillings or worse. I think my fear is rooted in the memory of having my wisdom tooth extracted. Despite being told it wouldn't hurt because of the injection... It blimin' hurt! The feeling of pressure as it was being pulled and the suction-like noise as it came out were probably the worst bits. Of course healing afterward was no picnic either.

Even as a child visits to the dentists were not something i looked forward to. i still don't. It seems the more times you visit them, the more things they want to try out on you. At least as a child, the dentist gave you a little reward. I know that seeing a dentist is important, so I'll just have to make the best of it!

I honestly don't believe that there is a person alive in this world that would say that they enjoy going to the dentist. I know that I don't like it at all. I have TMJ, so whenever I have to go to the dentist's office, it causes me a great amount of pain regardless of whether it is just a regular cleaning or if it is fillings. It is awful to be quite honest. I will avoid going to the dentist's office at all costs because of the discomfort if causes me.

That is true!!! I've actually told myself that I would never ever make myself go to dentist anymore. I will try my best to keep my teeth healthy all by myself.

Hello invisiblelady
No it is not an odd question,, my teeth are healthy even at 65 age, i don't chew tobacoo, betel leaves, no drinks, i use good brand tooth paste and herbal powders..
so there is no need to go for check ups, yes i got my lower middle teeth extracted in the recent past..
Thank you so much.
Professor. . Cheers God bless you.

I hate going to the dentist. I think I am more afraid of going to see the dentist than I was to give birth. I just finished having a lot of dental work done. I have to admit that she (the dentist) did a good job and I felt no pain through all the work she did (until I got the bill. That was painful). I still don't like going to the dentist, though.

Ahhh! I actually thought about giving birth while I'm at the dentist last Monday. I don't have any child yet. And I'm actually thinking that if I'm afraid with the dentist, would it be the same in giving birth? I honestly want to have a baby... But the "pain" thing makes me want to just adopt. Lol!!!

Yes, I actually don't mind going to the dentist. I have had the same dentist for 30 years. I am quite comfortable with him and all the employees there- even his daughter has now joined the practice. I am a little nervous when getting a needle in the mouth for numbing.. But he has even given me a prescription for muscle relaxers for my jaw (TMJ) and to relax me before I come in to his office.
Other than the occasional cavity- I just go every 6 months for a cleaning and they check me out with x-rays every year and I am usually good to go.

Owww!!! I wish I have been like that before. So I don't have to suffer now. But at the moment, I have to practice enjoying my time at the clinic. By the time I'll be able to do so, I might as well not might going to him. Lol
