I had a class today and the teacher wanted each one of us to write our view, about anything on Body Arts. Most of our thoughts went into Tattoos. I personally am interested to get one, but have kept the idea at bay. I feel like having a tattoo as it seems cool and I would like to try a small one. I still want one now, but if you were to help me book a appointment, I would be too afraid to go, for reasons I am unsure of myself. How about you? What are your view on body art? Do you have one? Are you thinking of having one? Share with us!

I don't think having one is bad as long as it doesn't go overboard. I would never cover my entire body with them as many people have. Why they do it is beyond me when most of them they put on them are just scribble. I think having a piece of art that says something about you is ok. But not to look like the cover of some kids notebook. But as for finding that one thing you want? Thats the hard part! Because its going to be on you for life!

That's what I think too, tattoos on our bodies are okay, but I will definitely not fill my whole body with them. I like your description that it is some kids notebook. When I see those people whose whole body is filled with tattoos, I do have the scribbling feeling too. Yes, I have been putting on hold my getting a tattoo as I don't know what design should I have. I don't want one only to regret later. Further more, removing it is even more painful than getting it. It will also leave an ugly scar on us forever.

It is horrible and sometimes it makes me wonder why the do that to their body? Not sure if some people are ashamed of their own body and trying to cover it up, just trying to cover up something they grew tired of, or maybe they even get addicted to the needle prick? lol! I really thought hard before getting one because I was not going to at first until I seen a dragon. It kinda fit my entire life and I have always been fascinated with them as well. Besides that it didn't tie me down to any one era or generation that everyone else was doing as a fad or a fashion, if that makes any sense? Because if I was going to get one it had to be for me and not what everyone else in the world was doing at the time to just fit in. Allot of people do it just for that reason and thats not a good enough reason to put something on you! Make sure this is something YOU and you alone want! Think about it VERY HARD! A few months or longer would be good just to make sure this is really what you want. A few months is not that long to wait to see if you change you're mind on it for something that will remain with you a lifetime. And you sure as hell don't want some ugly a*s scar for a mistake you are not happy with... Another thing? If you do? Find a really good artist that you have heard uses clean stuff and that is really good! I have heard some bad things in the past about bad artists etc... Take care and good luck with it and I hope you make the right decision for you as I did!

Yes. Different cultures view tattoos as different kind of representation. In our society, there are many people who reject tattoos. Though many accept it as a form of art, they are still not open to the idea of having one. Furthermore, the negativity is there for people seen with tattoos.

we have different views about tattoos....as an art, just to be cool or because you only want..but if your planning to have one be sure you will not regret because if you try to erase it.it will leave a life time scar.

There are many tattoos nowadays that are very interesting. Youngsters usually feels that things to do with tattoos are very cool, but lesser for the older generation! What do you mean by enjoy with trying?

most of my friends got tats already... it's cool and nice to look at. i want one too and so does my girlfriend. if i get one, she'll get one too... that's what's stopping me. i've asked some of these friends of mine if i should really get one. they all said no. body art is good, it's like a self expression.

It's similar between us. Most of my friends advise me against having tattoos. I wonder why. Do your friends tell you the reason behind their 'no'? I too think that body art is a form of self-expression. Even your friends with tattoos said no? That is interesting. Would like to understand further why they advise against! Hope to hear from you!
