Hi you guys, I've been inactive to myLot for more than a year now. Been really busy with work and family. anyway, a lot of stuff has happened to me. Our house was caught on fire last April 30, 2010, it was literally burned to ashes. I just got off work that day; an hour after the fire started. Cellphones were not allowed in the office so I had no idea about what had happened, I ended my shift at 8:00AM that day. The fire started at 7AM. So when I got home, I didn't see any house standing to where our home used to be. (Just imagine how you would feel) The first thing on my mind was "Where is my Son?" (imagine the terror I felt when I didn't see my 2yr old son right away with all the ruckus going on the neighborhood) Good thing, my family was safe and that they got out of the house just in time. Only my Husband, son and his nanny were on the house that day. They didn't notice the fire early enough to save any stuff. When my Husband noticed the fire, the first thing he did was call the fire department because our neighbors were in panic and just kept shouting FIRE! none of them thought of calling the Fire department. That moment, the fire was already nearing our roof, my husband only saved his Laptop and a few Law books, then rushed to get our son and nanny out of the house and get them to safety. The Nanny was carrying my son, and almost didn't pass through because the fire was too big, my husband just shouted RUN through it. Good thing, they weren't hurt. My Husband tried to get back to the house but it was too late, our house was already on fire. It only took about 15mins to burn 6 houses that day. The the firemen came, so other houses were saved. and so I thought, it's better to get robbed than to have your house burned. My house is currently under construction since then. Whew...

You're still blessed, my dear that non of your family members was hurt. I have experienced that but I was just in highschool then. But it was very hurtful whenever I see my parents, especially my mother, very sad because of what had happened. We are just lucky then because we noticed the fire even before it reached our house so we still had time to save some important documents. We started from scratch. Good thing my parents were very determined to bring back what we had before the fire. It was really difficult. I hope I will not be experiencing that again especially that I have 2 year old son right now and I am also doing night shift at work. I can really relate. You're lucky everything is almost back to normal now. :)
