I recommend that you follow everyone's advice here. There are so many websites that will pay you per page views. This way your income will accumulate the days, years to come.
This is what we call passive income. You just do the effort once and earnings never stop after that. There are also some websites that do accept works that are previously published. For example, post your original articles in Triond and republish them in Bukisa after that.

Here is my take on this:
There are places on the net that pay peanuts for articles-places like Triond. Can you make money on these kind of sites? Yes, but it is very difficult, because you have to write a lot to earn a little bit.
If you are willing to take a very low wage, like a penny a word or less, there are plenty of writing jobs available. You can look on Craigslist and other such places.

A couple of pieces of advice before you get started. Don't accept any work that only pays $1-$2 an article. It is not worth your time in research or writing skills. The second is to get a few writing samples together that are already published to showcase your skills. Any residual site will work such as AC or Helium. Both sites have their own extensive interests on this forum. So you should look into them. This is to protect you from doing a sample piece and then not getting paid for it.
I am guessing you are a new writer. Check into Textbroker, and Wordgigs. Once you have some experience, apply for Demand Studios. There is no set amount of articles that you have to do, so you can adjust your skills.
The last pieces of advice are crucial if you want to write long term. Find a balance between writing and life. In addition, find something totally unrelated to writing that you can use to supplement your writing income.

My favourite is Digital Journal. They pay out at $10 via pay pal and payments are made on the first of the month.
I've found this one the easiest to earn from but it is different for everybody.
I made just under $45 for August and they're a reliable site.
You can check my blog, if you like, for other writing opportunities. The link is in my profile.

Hi Alextechguru,
I too am a student in University. Although I cannot say that I am a very good English write, I am looking writing jobs too.
Do note that writing articles on the net is not easy. You can do more research on freelance jobs and take it from there. Many blogs on the internet will teach you how to get writing jobs!
You can try odesk or freelancer

I saw that people already recommended Triond, I am writing for them and I am very happy with them, so I second that recommendation!

Hi if you want to earn some extra money...since you are a writer as you said...you can join some of the Pay-to-Write Articles Services, or Pay-to-Post Services.
You can get paid by just writing some reviews or articles at Bukisa...shoovong...Triond...and many more.
Or If you want...just let me see your work and I will hire you...because I need some writers for my blog...jejeje
