I know this is an extremely odd question but I know that this can happen to anyone of us. A murderer somehow gets a hold of two of your loved ones (such as your son and daughter) and asks "who do you want to live"? "You either choose or they both die." I personally don't know if I could make a decision. I would would rather have my life taken, but the murderer won't compromise. But one life lost is better than two lost.. The guilt of making a decision would just be unbearable for me..

WOW! That one is deep! I only have one child, so I wouldn't have to! If I ever had to the decision would haunt me for the rest of my life. I don't think I could do it. I would try forever to get the guy to take me instead. I think I would demand that he make the decision for me. I just couldn't.

It is deep. The thought do something so horrible would haunt. I'm glad to hear that you would do anything to make sure your child's life wouldn't be lost.

I have to say that this is a crazy question.LOL! I had to stop for about 10 minutes to give an answer. This is a very difficult one to answer. While I was reading your post again, I got stuck with the thing you said "one life lost is better than two lost" and I guess your right. Maybe I'll just die with them rather than picking 1 person to live. I cant tolerate the pain and the guilt knowing that it was me who decided to end his/her life.

I understand. It is just too difficult of choice. Just the fact that I practically killed the person is too much. Thanks for your input. Have a great day.

Basically, it's a Sophie's Choice (like the movie). And, honestly, I don't think it's one I can answer. Not theoretically like I'm doing here. If a situation like that actually happened, I'd have to not think at all and just blurt out a name - and go crazy with guilt afterward.

I understand. That is a difficult question to answer. That would probably be the best thing to do. Just go blank and blurt out a name. Have a great day Angelwriter!
