Do you sleep alone at night?

It all starts when my mom comes yelling at me to switch off the light and sleep or maybe that my brother needs concentration and he can't study when the TV is switched on. Then i slowly switch off the TV and also the light but i am kinda scared of the dark. I see too many scary serials and movies a lot but i see in a group and now when i am alone i feel a little scared. So sometimes i ask my brother to sleep next to me. Sometimes if he doesn't then i would just take a couple of extra pillows and lay them side by side so that i would feel protected.
How do you cope with darkness or sleeping alone?

My daughter sleeps with me I'm trying to get her into her own bed but it hasn't been an easy transition....

in the same situation here, my wife would never break down and let her sleep alone and now she is 3 and still in bed with us most nights...

Yup, i do sleep alone at night.
I do relate though to the scary films ive seen and find difficulty to sleep. I realized that i am not good in coping with it. In fact, i am also scared to do yoga (there is a yoga exercise wherein you would need to close your eyes using your hands) whenever i watch scary films.
I therefore conclude that i should never ever watch scary scenes ever again! It takes me weeks before i could move on.

I have a husband that sleeps in the bed with me. Also, our son sometimes runs and gets in our bed during the night or early morning hours. He's been doing pretty good about sleeping in his own bed lately though. If my husband is ever gone and not in the bed with me I cannot sleep good but I just lay down and try to go to sleep anyway. I will put extra pillows in the bed with me sometimes.

At my childhood I sleep one room with sibling and our age quite close. Now we all have our own room and get used to sleep alone.
I sleep alone but with light on because its my habit since childhood. We are using gasoline lamp when I was child and its turn on to keep mosquito go away and its help the room so its a little worm.

Once I had problem like yours. Sometimes I must sleep alone. So many days i cried of scared. Now I am a housewife. Sometimes i wanted to alone but I have no escape. I should sleep with my husband my children. Some times i shout in the middle of the night, that I have no place to sleep.

Yes I usually sleep alone at night. Except when I'm with my girlfriend. I can sleep with or without lights. But I prefer sleeping with lights turned off. Its faster for me to go to dream world if its dark.

For as long as I remember, I've been sleeping alone in my very own room.
I remember that there was this one time when I was still a kid that my mum purposely left the door to my room slightly ajar, despite my protests of having it fully closed, saying that it will let some light in. I got really scared because of this since the light from outside the door would make shadows on the walls and my over active imagination made it worse. Fear got the better of me when I thought I saw something come in from outside and I practically seizure jumped from my bed and ran out my room to my parents' room to hide.
Ever since then, I really hated to sleep when there's light so I would close my door, even the bathroom's, and close the blinds so that there would be absolutely no light pouring into the room and I won't even see a thing. The only problem left is that I find it annoying that my mum would sometimes come in to open the blinds but I'll just close them again once she leaves.

I don't sleep alone anymore because I'm with my baby but before I really get scared sleeping along without any light. It's really scary and sometimes I get nightmares or i just can't sleep. Sometimes I just sleep during the day. When I was little I have lots of pillows around my bed for protection.

Yes , I mostly do sleep alone at night and actually I am not afraid of dark ever.
Also I dont like to watch scary movies and serials so i dont get any such thoguhts often.
And sometimes my younger bro sleep by my side , may be because he gets afraid sometimes when he hear some scary story etc.

when i have to sleep alone in the dark.., my way of coping with it is by listening to music on my ipod to block out the silence and i will wrap myself in a blanket from heat to toe.., so that i will not notice that i am alone in a big space.., so creepy..=)

yes, i sleep alone at night, but recently, i've been sleeping with my mom,,, im not afraid of the dark or being alone, but sometimes, especially if the rain is pouring hard, i find it so scary that i'd hide myself under the blanket, and sleep with pillows covering my head,,, ^^
