Not long ago,a pretty girl suddenly became well-known because of her words "I'd like to cry in BMW rather than smile on the bicycle",which sparked a hot discussion. She just want to take shortcuts and don't have to struggle painfully for years. Is she wrong? We find the society is becoming distorted and impetuous more and more.High price houses, tremendous employment pressure ,these things indeed make us depressed and unhappy.Living drives us to move,we obey.

Depression and sadness are always results of not understanding the priority in the life. Mostly people tend to misunderstand their priority and take some shortcuts that leads to dissatisfaction at a later point of time in life. With the time, lifestyle is changing very fastly and as a result of that, people get less time to think about themselves and their priorities in life. E.g. If you eat something very very spicy and after that instead of water, if you eat some sweets, it will help you to get some relief however, after that there will be chances of mouth ulcer. My point is, now-a-days, people do not think about themselves and their life, therefore, at any point of time in their life, when they have more than one options for a situation, they tend to choose the incorrect one. Such incorrect options cause depression, pain and sadness in the life.

Agreed. We should figure out what we live for and what's our objectives. Painful, comfortable,or luxurious lifestyle? You have the power to choose one.As long as you don't break the laws, others won't stop. But,most improtantly,i wish you make your decision personally,it's your business.Don't put it to the public and speculate yourself.

Hey, no problem. Here we are sharing our view, nothing is personal. I appreciate your way of thinking. I agree with you, one should take their decision personally, it should not be taken by others, chances of regretting are more if others take decisions on your behalf. Happy myLotting !!!

yeyelee, I remember this lady blogger - Melissa (Ma Nuo)and she is still creating much waves in the cyberworld but I just cannot feel anything about her views or considerations. Materialism is indeed a rampant issue of today and prevalent amongst the young population all over the world as contributed by this celebrated lady blogger. However, materialism is not everything or can be considered a virtue. The world or society may become more challenging, tougher and distorted but we are neither a looser nor virtueless. There is nothing in this world that can defeat a human spirit and there will always be a way to solve things. A house, branded goods, nice clothes, expensive makeups, meals or even a BMW does not make a person. They are never near the true virtue of a man so to each and his/her own if she prefers to cry in a BMW, then let it be. It is her skin and hers exclusively. IMO, I think there's a little warp in her statement which I feel apt to correct here - "I'd rather smile in a BMW than cry in it." Because, if I am going to cry in it then I might as well take a walk or do something that can really make me happy. In a nutshell, why SUFFER at all?

I wonder whether the reason why we still don't become material is the monetary incentives is not big enough or not.I wish the rest of us could stick to the end. Happiness is no longer meant?haha..At least we're happy here.

Dear yeyelee, From my perspective to look at this statement, I would see that maybe smile on the bicycle is a temporary hapiness and cry in BMW also a temporary sad. And I agreed with you that stressful environment such as high inflation, skyprice of house and tense employment make us try to find a shortcut way to escape from these unwanted stressful things. Perhaps I could stay at a place without involve these things, self plant self eat. How wonderful it is? Oh, it just a dream...

I think she is wrong. I mean, happiness is what matters, it is the only thing that matters even, because if you are not happy you wont be able to enjoy your BMW or whatever it is that you have. So no, I can't say that I agree with her!

I agree happiness is what matters. But that girl is really happy when she's lavishing out money, because her view of life has been distorted.

I would rather be happy in a box, then miserable in a mansion. This is something that I say, for me being happy doesn't consist of material belongings, happiness comes from family, friends being around people that help you enjoy life. By taking short cuts you miss out on experiences, it may get you closer to where you want to be at the time but who knows what you'll miss out on.

yes ,in china ,there are many similar situations like her ,just as you say ,the society is distorted ,now a lot of people just pay their most attention on money ,do not regard other things ,if violate their morality or something else ,now ,you can see ,with the high price of food ,house and other things ,the daily expense become more than before , and the pressure is also the same ,so ,some people just choose these similar like you said , i think ,they just want to escape the struggle ,they want to get better life without hard working i don't mean to blame them ,everyone has his/her own way to live ,for me ,i think i will struggle and work harder to get a better future , just as a saying bitter first ,sweet later ,life is more colourful if you just struggle with your own power

I watched the TV program.I agree with what you said. Now we confront with so many stress, many people fear to undergo this situation. So they want to marry with rich people, just as the girl you said.Though our society becoming distorted and impetuous in some aspects,I think we should make a correct stand. After all, most of the people cann't do what the girl said.we should struggle by ourselves,Only in this way can we have a rich and colorful life.
