What food combinations do you like that people find "weird"? What made you come up with those combinations? I personally enjoy watermelon and cheese. My family thinks it's weird. I saw it years ago, in a Top Chef episode. I love cheese so I tried it. I also like vanilla ice cream and cucumber. I don't know where I got that idea! I guess I was just bored one day...

When I lived by my grandma, I had this idea to eat a new kind of white bread. I slathered butter on it, say 4 mm of it, spooned strawberry jelly on it and then I put 3 spoonfulls of sugar on top of it all. I used to love it, but now I can't even look at the butter or smell it, let alone taste it.

Yes, I left the jelly out and put less butter and sugar on it, but now I don't eat even that. I guess I've turned my whole focus on chocolate and caramel ice cream with creme brulee. And I forgot to mention one other weird food combination, grandma fried potatoes on a pan and added scrambled eggs to it. Loved it.

I have a couple of weird food combinations that make my family wrinkle their noses. I like sliced tomatoes on my peanut butter sandwiches and I like to eat fried cabbage with my eggs and bacon in the mornings.

Shred your cabbage and fry it in butter with a little salt and pepper. Yum.

I think the combination of fruit salad and fried rice is a little weird to people but it tastes great. A few years ago I was at my grandparents' house watching TV and I was searching the fridge for food. The only thing in the fridge was some fruit salad and leftover fried rice so I ate them both together. It tasted so good, I think I might make a recipe: 1 cup fruit salad, 1 cup hot fried rice.

I have several food combination preferences which others may find weird.
To begin with, your watermelon and cheese combo is not unusual; there are variations on a watermelon, feta cheese, and onion salad on Food Network and elsewhere. It's a great combination.
I like mixing sweet and salty or savory, as in fruit in meat dishes or stews, pretzels or potato chips in ice cream sundaes.
I also like fruits and nuts in green salads, even with vinaigrette types of dressings.
I like beets and cottage cheese, with or without salad dressing.
I like tuna mixed with cottage cheese and tomato.
Cream cheese and jelly and boucheron goat cheese and jalapeno jelly are two other favorite combinations.

I, too, was surprised to learn of the watermelon-feta cheese combination. It's good and it works. Beets are usually paired with goat cheese or blue cheese, both of which I also like. But the beet-cottage cheese combo is one I do for myself when I need something quick or not to caloric.

I eat chips with vinegar. I also dip french fries on sundaes. That's the weirdest food combination I had.

I love dipping banana in shrimp paste. I also eat french fries dipped in sundae, my friends also find it weird that I soak green mangoes in soy sauce. Well I guess there are some things that other people may find as weird combination, but actually the perfect combination for us. =)

I have always loved cooked bologna with barbecue sauce sandwiches. I also like bacon and cheese sandwiches. When I go to Wendys, I like a chocolate frosty and fries and I dip my fries in the frosty. When I was pregnant, I actually craved dill pickles on spumoni ice cream lol.

I cut up lemons, cover them with salt, and eat them. I read about that in a magazine once, years ago, decided to try it, and...well I was hooked.
I love sour stuff in general, except for limes, strangely enough.
