What dog should we get. ?:)?

hi, my parents recently said that my sister and i could choose a dog we wanted.
however we have no idea which one to get -_-
we have to have a small one because we haven't got a very big garden and we aren't allowed to have a big dog.
we've been thinking about a chihuahua,Maltese,Yorkshire terrier. any other small/tiny dog breeds that would be suitable for us.

My sis is 13 only and i think she is afraid of big dogs
so cute things will only get her approval

Maltese are very nice little dogs. Longhaired Chihuahuas are as well, but the shorthaired ones can tend to get a little nasty. Of course it depends on the individual dog, too, but there are a lot of them that bite. What about some kind of Terrier? Border Terriers are very nice, with good temperaments, as are Cairn Terriers. Jack Russells, depending on the dog, are great family pets with lots of energy that can still tolerate living in small spaces. Toy and Mini Poodles are nice, too!
