Hey there fellow MyLot members, I was just wondering about something. Is the new Ipod Touch worth buying? I am planning on getting one, but I don't know which one. I know it is like the iphone, but what else can it do? What is so amazing about it? These are key factors I really needed to know. Does it only come in black and silver? How much is the standard app? How can I create an app? How many apps can it hold? Does it have a camera???How big is it? How often does it have glitches? I i really want the answers to these questions. Also, have you seen the new ipod nano? How many people thinks it looks kind of odd? Usually its not a square. I think it would be kind of hard to control if its so small, even though it is a touchscreen. And about the iPad, would that be worth buying? My brother has one, but he hasn't really let me use it. Thank you very much, all of you, for your help.

Well, since there is an eight gb, thirty-two gb, and sixty-four gb, the price varies. I think the minimu price for a NEW one is one-hundred-seventy-three dollars for an eight gb. And since there will be a new one coming out with a camera, the price will most likely be pushed past two hundred. And for higher amounts of gb, the thirty-two will be pushed pack to three hundred, and the sixty-four will be pushed back to four hundred.

I myself personally just bought the latest iPod Touch (4th Gen) and it seems like it is worth it. I never owned an iPod previously so this is a good place to start, at least for me. Compared to the iPhone, I think its a waste of money. You have to get a mandatory data plan which I believe is $20+ on top of your current phone plan just to get an extra call feature and a couple extra stuff? Best bet is the iPod and yes it only comes in that standard color. The iPad, is also a bit worthless as there really isn't much for it. If you want a big touch screen with a lot more functionality, support, lower price, and doesn't require a data plan, then just get a PC tablet.
This gen, you get two cameras (one in the back and one in the front) and it comes with an app called FaceTime (you might have seen the commercials). Its basically a video chat with you and another person via wifi or 3G. You can record videos in 720p through the back camera and with the right apps, you can edit the video and upload it to whatever website as long as your connected to the internet.
You have major hardware improvements to the CPU, gyroscope, screen, touch functionality, etc.. basically, everything has gotten an overhaul.
They have a new feature called GameCenter, which is sort of like Xbox Live in a way. You have a friends list with leaderboard, achievements, and matchmaking. It adds a lot to the social aspect of the iPod.
As for the apps, they range from free to I think $10, i'm not too positive on that. They have a whole section on the app store showing you all the top free apps and the best paid ones and so on. As for making your own apps, its really not that easy unless you get a third party game engine suited for making apps (I believe Unity just made one). You are going to need some programming skills in Objective C to actually make an app though, so it's not for everyone. The basic iPod can hold about 250+ apps. If you jailbreak it though, you can get more BUT, jailbreaking it voids the warranty. Research that before actually jailbreaking to see if it is for you.
I know this was a bit much for a response lol, but it should help you with your decision. Vote me as the best if you like :-)

You can actually find the details specs for different type apple device in apple official web site. For me iPhone is the best, it's iPod touch with phone function, and since you most likely bring mobile phone everywhere, it's the device that you will have chance to use it frequently. If you just want to listen to music, then Nano might be best option cause the size is small and cheaper. As for iPad, unless you're heavy book or comic reader, I'll say drop it.
