Video games had a big impact with children playing it. Everyday,I see a lot of kids ranging from 7 to 12 years old who plays video games and saying nasty words and expression while and after playing the game. I strongly believe that those harsh games, which kids are fond of playing is destroying their innocent minds. I mean,I hope that dealers of the said games should restrict the consumers with the age range on who can play the said games. And parents too should be responsible not to let their kids play those games. What do you think?

Bad parenting leads to 'bad' kids. This has always been the case even before video games. 'Nuff said.

It's the same in my country. The children play games and they don't focus to study. They even play 2-3 days continuously. It's very bad. The parents should be care the children more when they play games.

Here too in my country, computer shops allows children play any games that the child can operate to open and to play. They don't bother about the impact on the child's being. Well because some parents allow their kids stay even almost the whole day inside the net shop playing games and talking with other kids who has a harsh behavior already. Maybe lack of restrictions are one of the main reasons fro the child's having an untoward attitude.

They react to what they learn. Whether hand held or viewed on TV...if they hear/see it... they will learn it and use it. IT's the parents that need to be more involved in what their kids are doing and viewing to make sure it is to their age group and mentality of a "good" kid. Even on tV these days... the bad language is getting out of hand. SOB is now totally acceptable and commonly used on sitcoms. No one bats an eye over it! SO the kids hear it, see it is acceptable so they use it! Can't really blame them!

Video games have both positive and negative effects on children. It depends on how they use them. Our children are growing up in a technologically advanced world. Video game is a major source of entertainment. There are many educational games which helps children enjoy while learning. But the negative effect was children are unable to focus on their studies due to their addiction to video games. The supervisions of parents should regulate the time of children spend in video games.

As a kid I yearned for toys, but my parents gave me only those toys, which I never liked. I never realized why they did it until I visited my daughters family abroad. The doting parents gave their children playstation 3 and xbox and I found them engage playing games all the time. They forfeited their studies, their sleep for the sake of those games. I noticed that they even spoke the way the cartoon characters speak. Then I found the body acting like spider-man, and they did exactly the way hooligans and ruffians fought in the games. I feel that video games are bad for the children. However, I found that they were very smart with PC. Does it make them smarter with computers, I simply wonder.
