You guys should give the player a chance to show what he's got. Last season we all complained about berbatov now we are commending him. Who knows, Bebe may be the worst signing or the best but at least lets give him the benefit of the doubts. How many people knew Ronaldo when he first came to united? quite a few, but now we can never forget he's name. I can't think of one player that SAF signed that failed to perform in a way........Time brings everything, so please lets be positive.........Extremely United!!!!!

I am not a Man Utd fan but as a liverpool fan i can see where you are all coming from with players who have not been watched. I mean look at liverpool when we bought those Senegalese players Diouf and Diop only saw them play in a worldcup and couldnt play at the best level when we signed them.
I do understand why you are a bit cautious, but look at the youngsters your manager has bought before like rafael i think he is the right back. I think Sir Alex has a great eye and so do his backroom staff. I can maybe name only 2 players who he has bought who didnt perform as well as they could 1) Juan Sebastien Veron 2)Forlan but apart from those every player he has bought has done well.

Football is all about gambling. Didn't SAF watch Berbatov before bringing him to Old Trafford? He watched Macheda play at the junior team when he scored great goals and many goals but macheda didn't deliver the same way when he go to the senior team. Macheda tried. Watching a player doesn't mean the player will perform great wonders, but giving the ample opportunity to do so, if he then messes it up then we know he's a bad signing. So, lets give the poor lad a chance. Saha didn't play much for United but when he got Everton he did is part and he's still doing.

What is even worse for Sir Alex is that in the last January transfer window, Bebe was available for a measly transfer fee or around a million or so. It seems that Bebe's club wanted to sell him off as they were falling short of money. But instead Sir Alex brought him in for a much bloated price tag.
Cheers!

I am also surprise when I read the SAF has not watched the player in person or video before. Maybe it is the success of the past Portuguese signing, Ronaldo and Nani (he has show his worth last season after the initial whobbly start), that made SAF pretty confident of the Bebe.

I only know that a Romanian team, Universitatea Craiova didn't want to take Bebe for free. So it is more surprising that a highly rated manager like Sir Alex has given 8 million Euros for this player, even though he hasn't seen him playing. A great mystery this transfer. I hope that we will see Bebe play and then tell our opinion about him.
