how can we be sure that we really love someone?

I think you can't really know if you really love someone until you and that special someone have encountered problems and conflicts. But still regardless the turmoil or problem encountered you can never be really sure if they too feel the same for you. You must know that love is a decision, with that decision is the promise or the commitment that whatever happens, you'll do what it takes to keep the relationship alive. Sadly, people just say things but they really have no action. Loving is indeed a risk.

I've just responded to a similar discussion yesterday, I think. But here it goes again. It's easy to know if you're in love with someone because you always want the best for the other person and you willingly do anything you can just to make sure he or she gets it. Even if it means sacrificing and putting his or her needs ahead of your own. You love the other person if you're patient, kind, polite, respectful, apologetic, and humble, even if you're not normally that way. You lose your pride when dealing with the one you love. Now my question is: how do you know if you're still in love with someone or you have just gotten used to being with that someone? (hhhmmmm...this may be the start of a new discussion......)
