If You See A Penny Laying In The Street Do You Pick It Up?

I used to be one of those people that saw a penny and just walked on by. Then I started doing clicks and the penny took on a whole new meaning. Pennies add up quickly as I have learned. Now whenever I see a penny I pick it up and laughingly say "ohh a click". LOL So what do you do? Do you hurry and pick it up or just think, it's only 1 cent, I don't need that?

I most certainly pick up any coins I see lying in the street...I actually have a little pot that I put any monies I find into and leave it until the end of the year and see just how much I have collected :o) Last year I had found enough to actually go out for a meal, not an expensive one...but a meal nonetheless. Every penny counts in this life :o)

It sure does. 100 of them and there's a dollar you didn't have before.

I will pick it up...but first I have to check and see if it is heads up or not..LOL. No, I am not actually superstitious but I just it is just that old saying about heads up and good luck.
Pennies really do add up. I may only be one cent, but one cent adds up to a dollar really fast and I wouldn't pass on a buck. They are kinda like dollar seeds..he he he.

I look to see if they're on heads too and if they're not I turn them over before fully picking them up lol. There's a little tip for you! I like that, dollar seeds, great way to look at it. By the way, thanks for joining dealsncash, lets hear it for the pennies.

Fun question. In the past I always picked them up... then a time came where it was more like "nah, it's just a penny, if it would be a dime, I'd pick it up." Funny now that I'm thinking about it.
BUT now I'm back to picking them up. I stick them into my purse and sure enough after a while, it starts getting heavy from change on the bottom.
My problem is that I don't often get around to turning the change in for bills and I really need to do that more often.

I really did not paid attention to pennies lying around. But since I have experienced being financially broke, I realized the value of money. Now whenever I see coins lying around the place, I always picked them up and store them inside a piggy bank. This cents will definitely add up one day. The amount I would be accumulating by just picking up cents lying around will definitely be a surprise someday.

Yeah! I'am like you too I also pick money whenever I see it. My old methods include stepping on the money with my feet as to hide it from others and then secretly picking it up. lol. The highest amoount I have ever found on road was 230 INR which is aprox. equal to 2.50$.

I always pick up coins. My sons have a money bank that is used to collect found coins. Then when we go on holiday, it just adds to their spending money. Last year, they had nearly £20 in the pot collected up over 2 years. It seemed like a small fortune to them!

I would have to say heck yeah!! Here in Australia, we got rid of our 1 & 2 cent pieces back in the late 80's but if I see 5 cents or 10 cents lying around, I will pick it up...I just think it's better off in my pocket making me that little bit "richer"

Sure! Definitely, I will pick it up without second thought. But I won't sprung up on it
. Just do it casually without attracting others notice. So, every penny counts and why should I lose a small fortune like that. I had collected a lot in my school days but it is very hard to find one like that, now!

I think I would if I ever see one. So far I haven't been that lucky.
However, I think I would be so guilty for the owner of that coin. We'll never know what the person needed that coin for but then, somebody else had taken advantage of it.
So I think I would offer it during the Holy Mass, or give it to a beggar.
