From what i understand, our parents are our gaurdians, teachers, caretakers as children & once we grow up into adults, we are resposible for our actions. I dont remeber hearing anything where it would be sin to not follow what our parents wants us to do. From our childhood to getting adults our parents has purchased many things for us in our life. Right from toys, books uniforms & many other things. Have you ever purchased anything for your parents & filled the happiness ?

My Dad is 97 and he was never one to enjoy receiving gifts. I have bought him several comforts over the last few years but these days, each time I visit he is delighted with his box of dark chocolate covered ginger. Most of his taste buds have gone so to get something very yummy is his biggest daily joy.

Yes I have purchased something for my parents.
I gave my mom an inspirational book for moms. And I gave my dad his favorite brand of handkerchief. Those are just simple gifts but I did used my savings to purchase em, that's why it means something to me. If and if I'll be able to graduate college soon, I hope I can purchase more for them.

Hi,
I have been staying away from my parents for more than 15 years.
I miss them alot and everytime when I go back to my hometown,
I will buy them some presents.
For my mother, I will buy her some tops or handbags with some local
snacks.
As for my father, I will buy him Shirt which he can wear when attending
any formal outings.
It is a kinda of appreciation to my parents.Since I can't be with them all the
time, It is another way for me to show my love to my parents.

Yes,I did.I always give them a surprise. It make them feel fresh. When it's on Mother's Day, I would buy a big bond of flower.. When I get to know they suffered from the pain of "cervical vertebra".I buy them an electric messager.ETC.
What I'm gonna say that is not to show off how filial I am,but to say that we should try our best to make them happy and healthy.
They don't really care how expensive the presents are, what they really care is your heart. A small token even a pair of sock could make them happy for a while. Because that means you as their child have already grown up and put them into your heart. It is gratifying.

Yes, not only you and me but every one cares for their own parents, except a few whom god has not given enough brains to understand their importance. Coming back to your discussion I present to parents on their birthdays and anniversary with gifts. They might not be very high in monetary term, but i wanted to convey them that i love them and i care for them.

I've purchased things for my parents. I've bought small things as well as big things. I think the biggest thing I purchased was a computer with all the works, including a desk, for my mom. I hardly ever buy anything for my dad because he lives very far away, but I'll occasionally send him money so he can buy something with it.
