Do you think the holidays we have nationally, from The United States of America is the shortest in comparison to other continents, such as Europe and Asia? We got probably total around 20 days holidays. And there are about 35 to 40 days of Holidays in Europe; and 25 to 30 days in Asia. So, we are the country with the lowest amount of holidays for each person who works. Should we have more holidays? I am sure many people would vote for it. How about you?

I am a primary school teacher in England. We get holidays at Easter, Christmas and i the summer. We also get half terms. When I worked in the ship brokers I got only 20 days holidays a year. I could have 12 days holiday in the summer and 8 days holiday in the winter. My boss was mean about holidays and when they could be. I asked if I could have a holiday to Tunisia at Easter time and he said no. Then I got called for jury service but he still wouldn't let to do that. I think that every employer gives a different allowance for holiday pay. Some companies in my home country allow 30 to 40 days holiday. There are many public holidays like Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. In some countries life is easier than in others. I am very surprised to hear the holidays in the USA are so very short. I think American people should get more more holiday allowance.

Hi king,
It basically depends on the other facilities you get other than holidays. There must be some balance.Americans are paid far more than the European or Asian workers if you really compare the amount of salary.
Thanks
