Our tastes change when we get older for whatever reason and music is no exception to this rule. A lot of the time when I was younger, I was a fan of country music. However, as I grew older, I didn't like it as much. Its merely okay for me, but not my cup of tea. So what music did you used to enjoy, but now do not really enjoy.

I used to enjoy pop songs from boy bands such as N'sync, Backstreet Boys, Boyzone, Code Red, and of Hanson (who could forget Hmmmmm. Bop! ) etc.. but as time changed, I just outgrew my admiration about Boy bands and I think most of the world did as well.

Yeah that is something that was good for the time it was in. Now, it is just something that most outgrew past a certain age. Then again, there are acts that even to this day, that really do not seem all that great, when you edge past a certain age group. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I think it really doesn't matter the type of music that is performed or by what group or individuals. For example as I am writing this I'm listening to Smokey Robinison and the Miricels(sp ?) "Tracks of My Tears" It still sounds as good now as it did when it was released. If you liked a song or group when they originated the tune, chances are you will still like that tune if for no other reason than the nostalgia of the moment.

Yes I think, they are greatly affected by trends, and styles of songs. I think more people now are listening to rock band, solo male, or solo female artist, alternative band, RNB, Rap.

When I was a teenager is used to listen to boy band such as Nsync, Backstreetboys, westlife,A1 and other famous boyband. But now i'm not listening to those type of song now. Maybe because the trend changes from POP music to rock, rnb,and alternative. Now what i been listening are alternative rock band such as secondhand serenade, breaking Benjamin, greenday and other famous alternative band

Yeah those pop bands are more of an age thing I would think. We shift to other bands, depending on our tastes, as we get older. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Pop music was when I was in my pre-teen, early teen years, was something that I thought sounded good. As I opened my horizons, I learned differently. Then again, pop artists should market to that crowd, because its just skews that way and its smart for business reasons. As we get older, it doesn't sound right, because we've grown out of that target audience. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

About ten years ago before I had my two girls and in my early 20's I was REALLY into the hardcore metal! You know the bands that would scream more then they would sing, have their long hair head banging away, etc. My favourite bands were Slipknot, Korn (when they were harder), Lim Bizkit (back when they screamed a lot), System Of A Down, and any other group with a ton of noise and/or screaming! Now that I have my girls that kind of music gives me a headache! LoL!

Yeah loud music is really something that can be annoying. Plus, there is really not much, if any substance to it when you think of it. There is just a bunch of mindless screaming, with little to no rhyme or reason. It is truthfully pointless all things considered. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes, many things change as one gets older. I very much liked listening to all kinds of music when I was younger, music of other countries and cultures too. One of the music I very much enjoyed then was Rock and Roll. I would even like to get up and rock and roll when I hear the music. But, now no more. The taste has changed. I would prefer listening to the all time classical music and just relax on the sofa.

That can often be the case. The older music does not seem as interesting anymore. Therefore, we tend to slowly slide towards newer artists and groups. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I must say that from then to now my preference for music has not changed that much. I still like the "oldies but goodies" and alot of the new music except the extreme "gangster rap". I guess you could say I am a true music lover. In fact a day without music for me is a wasted day.
