Notebook ?

What do you think about mini laptops(notebooks)?I`m thinking of buying one,but i wonder would i be able to use it for some kind of work.If someone has more experience with this kind laptops please give mi advice.I need it to do office work like using MS office packet and other programs for creating data files,projects,advertisements,and visit much websites to collect information and make researches.What is the lowest price i should pay to get one good notebook?I will be thankful if someone give me a hand..

I am not really familiar with notebooks. I have done some research, though, and I know they are not powerful enough for all the work I want to do. I will get a new laptop instead.
