Sometimes craving gets into us, everyday we have a feelings that we want something new for our taste. Its like to satisfy our appetite.
Do you guys have this kind of feeling sometimes ? A slice of pizza,a salad or a kind of sweets perhaps.
Myself experienced this several times and the worse thing here it attacked me during the night after dinner, and what it crave me is not usually available in my food stock. And I still have to go down to the supermarket. That makes me sick, so what i did to stop my cravings is to chew a sugarless chewing gum to forget about what food I'm craving for.
How about you my fellow mylotters, can you stop yourself from craving or you usually follow your food crave? You may have some opinion on how to deal with your cravings.
I would be glad to hear from all of you.Thank you!! Have a have nice everyone!!

Do you have a plan to lose weight by going on a diet?
I have to admit I'm greedy. That's why I was attracted by the topic. ah ah^^
Since I was a little girl, I have a special feeling for good food. I'm not only fond of good food, but also more likely to run to fat. No wonder it's hard for me to lose weight.
Acturally,I take some measures of controlling the appetite, such as drunking a lot of water before dinner, get some soda biscuits or some food not easy to hurt your stomach,or the fruit. Once I used the imagination, you can imagine you have already full and the food you are eating is hard to swallow.
In a word, it's a painful process.
By the way, after a long period of resisting the temptation, I was defeated by the good food and finally ate a pizza in 9 inches myself yesterday, I shouldn't have eaten. After eating them up, I began to regret my craving.

The majority of the time when I am initially struck with a craving, I won't eat whatever it is that I am craving. However, on those times that the cravings that I have are persistant I will eventually give in to it because of the fact that there must be something that my body needs which would be the reason that I am craving the food. Most of the time after I give in to the craving, I don't crave anything else for a long time following the initial craving.

That's one of my weaknesses. I do have cravings from time to time. And it usually alternates between something sweet and something salty. I try to keep a few of these cravings in the pantry, but there are just times when it comes inopportune times. While I always give in to these cravings when I was younger, these days it doesn't bother me that much when I don't get to eat it.
Just a mind over matter thing.

cravings are as much a part of human wants as desire, the intensity of which is greater when one is young and gradually tapers off as one gains in years and understanding...

Hi cloud! Nice to see you! Oh, you are not alone. I get some
serious cravings and some are so bad that I can't talk myself
out of them! I think "Pizza" cravings are common with most
people. That one is usually easy to fix unless I have no money
or am too lazy to take a walk! But, the one that is the most
serious for me is when I get my "Chinese Food" cravings! You
see, Chinese Food is my favorite and I like alot of different
things that this "Take-Out/Delivery" restaurant makes. And
it is kind of expensive for me to get too often so I usually
have to ignore those cravings. But, there are times I just
can't and I call up and have them deliver my order! Unless,
I absolutely have no money in the house or none on my credit
card I can get in big trouble!

Hello cloud, everyone has cravings it is very natural. From experience and from what I have read in various articles though is that it is much healthier to actually give in to your cravings instead of suppressing them. The body and mind tells you what you need in terms of sugar, water, vitamins, starch, acids or what have you. Studies have shown that when you ignore them you usually just end up taking in more of what you originally needed when you actually needed it. In short, if you want a soda right now, then drink some soda and just enough, maybe half a bottle or a whole can if that's what you need to get it out of your mind. A soda, a pizza or fast food a few times a month is a good measure. And at night it's okay to take a few bites just don't eat a full meal before 2 hours of sleeping. I have studied a lot on this subject lol. It is all okay as long as you don't overdo it. Very interesting topic, cloud! Actually made me crave pizza or chips just now. +!

Sometimes i can fight off a craving. If it is a chocolate craving, it is a bit more difficult to defeat. i usually have to give in. Sometimes will power isn't what it should be when a craving is calling your name.

Hi! :) Yes, I always go with my cravings and just about the only food that I always crave is Chocolate....I'm a Chocoholic! :) I really can't last a day without chocolates, especially after every meal. Every time I go to the supermarket I always make it sure that chocolates are on my grocery list. But during times when I'm out of stock in the house already, I usually try to create a diversion. When the impulse to get the food that I'm craving for hits, I immediately think of doing something else that is completely non-food related. I would usually clean my room or the bathroom or fix my closet. Since I'm already very busy with something else, then I forget about the craving. :) Maybe you can try this too...have a nice day! :)

I do have food cravings sometimes especially when i see commercials on tv. It makes wonder how it would taste like when i eat those stuffs. I dont usually follow my food crave because since its on TV i wont be able to get one as soon as i can. And i dont do anything about it because eventually I will soon forget about that certain food crave. Although sometimes, i get what i want like chocolates which are readily available. There are certain limitations to our food craves especially the availability of the food we are craving for. When i crave for something, I usually forget about it unintentionally.

I can't always afford to go with my cravings. When I can I usually do. Eat out or buy some candy or something sweet to eat.

Haha, speaking about this, I have craving almost everyday, like you. One night, I had to fry myself a waffle just to satisfy my hunger pangs. I wasn't so hungry before. Perhaps I was still growing, which I don't really think.

Hi, Cloud. It has been awhile. I tend to follow my cravings. I have found that if my body says it needs something, it is telling me for a reason. During my first pregnancy, I only craved oranges, asparagus and tomatoes - all high in Vitamin C. I often crave pumpkin and broccoli -again, high in Vitamin C. Sometimes, I really, REALLY crave mushrooms - vitamin B. I totally LOVE vegetables but don't really eat fruit. I think my body lets me know what it needs by what it craves. Have not yet discovered why my body also craves chocolate - but I give in to the craving anyway, figuring my body knows best...

Yes! I love food! =p I love eating!
You should change your eating habits if you don't want to crave. Craving means that your body needs something. Your brain is telling you that you need glucose! So you crave chocolate. This is also true on pregnant women. They crave because they need for their body.
1. You should not skip meals. eat on time. eat early during breakfast and eat early at dinner before 6pm. It is not bad to eat a midnight snack... unless it is just light. eat it 1 hour before bed to avoid bloating.
2. You should have a healthy meal. Carbohydrates is absorbed by the body within 2 hours... The gastric emptying time of protein is at least 4 hours. So if you eat pasta, you will then be hungry after 2 hours. Have you ever wondered if you eat pork, your stomach gets full and your hunger is more satisfied than fish? Fish is only light protein and pork is heavy meat. Eggs are also protein and it will suppress your hunger too.
3. Crave proof your kitchen! Of course if there are so many sweets in that clear cookie jar, you would really crave to eat it. Yes, it is very delicious that is why you crave, It is all in the mind!
hope this helps. =p

when i have my craving, i really go to whatever store/ restaurant to have it. the reason why, its because when i can't eat that food, i have a tendency to overeat that stuff. sometimes, i eat other foods or munch on some thing so it will temporarily stop! ;)
