I used to believe in that superstition too when I was younger.., I heard it form my grandma..so whenever a cat crosses my path.., I will not proceed to that direction anymore.. I will change route to reach my destination.., But I realized how stupid I was.., There is no scientific explanation for such phenomenon..=)

Now that I think of it my grandmother is the one who encouraged my childhood superstitions too! Darn Grannies have nothing better to do? LoL! Just kidding!

not proven by Science....
cannot even use in court hearings....
even the Holy Bible doesn't believe in that superstitions....
what is the purpose of the prayer:
"Lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE"
it simply means that believing in such Superstitious beliefs is a SIN against God....

I don't really believe in superstitions. If let's a cat crosses my way, nothing usually happens following this. So, I think that that is why I don't believe in superstitions. If something happened to me involving some kind of superstition, I might change my mind a little. But for the time being, I don't really believe in all this sort of thing.

Hi rautrahul yeah it's true that we have several superstitions which are really illogical and absurd.I think they are more considered as omens that leads to misfortune or ill luck when a cat crosses your path.I have seen cab drivers stop there cabs and wait for others to cross the road as they believe that there will be an accident if they son't obey the omen. However, even I used to believe in all these superstitions when I was a child. In fact my grandma made me believe those. But now when I am an adult I seldom believe in such blind superstitions.

I do not believe on superstitions. Although, at some point, you lose nothing if you believe it. There are many superstitions like avoid double weddings of siblings. Never clean the house during the night because blessings are being washed away. Yet, I clean during the night because it is cooler temperature.
