just be yourself,woman hate men trying to be something they are not,you could try asking her what she does for a living or something like that,once you get chatting then casually ask her out for a drink,if she says no then so be it,,but you need to be yourself,just remember that

well I'm not really sure what she even meant by losing singles and doubles. I feel so old...
